Looks like paying full price for the Criterion Collection or waiting twice a year for Barnes & Noble is pointless. Now Rakuten.com (formerly Buy.com) has a 50% off sale as well. Thanks, I bookmarked the site. The sad thing is, even with the very good prices, I went through the first 175 titles in the sale, & there was nothing i needed & wanted with my current finances.

Not all Criterion fans are Barnes & Noble members. The last sale which just ended only had 15% off for non-members. Rakuten's min order is $40 and that is easily accomplished by buying just two items. I'm glad you were able to score a Battlestar Galactica set after shooting down the deal earlier in the thread...try not to be such a buzz kill.

Oh yeah...I forgot about tax. So that makes the 15% barely negligible.

There's also 30% coupons that sometimes come out during the sales. I appreciate the heads up on this sale, I'll take a look around. They're not the most reliable (I had a couple of incidents in the past with them), but if the price is good enough on something I'll buy. The one big difference between this and B&N is that B&N has stores you can visit. So there's that as well.
