Disturbed - Immortalized (8/21/15)
Anyone still listen to these guys? I'm not a huge follower, but I like them enough to give them a listen when they release something new.

Still a huge fan. It was a nice surprise when out of nowhere they announced a new album last month. I'll definitely be at the NYC show on 4/4.
Although, "Light it up"...yikes. Never thought there would be a Disturbed song I would give a thumbs down too, but what a disaster.

This new album doesn't have the hard sound I enjoyed, but Light it Up is fun (I mean, a song about weed, come on, have to love it lol).
But tour dates already announced? I am SHOCKED that they are playing at places like HOB and other smaller venues when they used to play at outdoor venues and what not. Man, wonder why this is...

Bands like them are quick to come and go anymore. Look at Godsmack. I saw them open for Metallica and 3 years later they are playing a small open grass area at one of the local casinos.
I dont have any answer as to why but I just know I see it a lot and it's been that way for a good 15 years or so with rock bands.

The Chicago House of Blues show sold out in a second, Literally. I clicked at exactly 10am, and nothing. Good luck to the rest of you

Tickets don't go on sale until next Friday for my city's show. Looks like 45 bucks a ticket. Actually a little pricey for bands at that venue but I still plan to go. It will definitely sell out as it is a small (but nice) venue.

As far as Disturbed is concerned, I seem to like every other album of theirs, although I never listened to Asylum. I'll have to check this one out.

My gf is a big fan, I had no idea they had a new album coming out though - might have to surprise her with this... I'm not a fan of the band but she'll dig it.

Finished the album last night. Really liked it. I don't think it as good as "Asylum" or "Industructible", but it might end up that way after a few listens. They do a cover of "Sound of Silence" that started out pretty bad, but then got really badass by the end. Overall, I think 3 stars out of four is good for now.
