You're pretty obsessed with people that dislike this show. Why do you need to get validation from other's likes and dislikes on something you personally enjoy?

I mean, it's dull as fuck, and, be honest with yourself, that's the basic truth. If you enjoy dull as fuck things, more power to you. But don't go acting like everyone should be enjoying dull as fuck things.

Not everyone enjoys cheese on their tacos, but hey, you enjoy that shredded cheddar on your tacos all you want, playa.

I think the people that hate the show are the ones that are obsessed. They're in these threads every week, telling everyone that likes the show why they should also hate it.

Yeah, that's what I was hinting at but Jackskeleton didn't get it.

I'm sure slop101 will post something but maybe he won't since I'm mentioning it?

We'll see.

I don't understand. I hate cheese on tacos. You've confused me with someone who does.

If you don't like it, you should definitely stay out of the SNL threads! It's been on 40 freakin' years, and the same people show up to tell us that SNL sucks now. Rinse and repeat for some other shows, like Family Guy. Any others?

As for True Detective: I can't believe we're three episodes away from the end of the story. I really do love this new trend of short and tight single-season stories. It saves from the excess and repetitiveness of those shows that go on and on and on.

For season 3 I think HBO should give the show more money so Pizzolatto can have a full writing staff. I think he got lucky with season 1 especially with the talent he had. But I think this season showed that he's not a strong TV writer and show runner and needs help. Especially running this show and trying to get this second season on the air within a year.

It's been a good week to be a fan of Rachel McAdams in tight dresses.

Then why continue eating said tacos? Wouldn't the sensible thing be to eat at another establishment serving tacos you do like? I mean, if it's already clear that the place ain't changing their menu items for you no matter how much you may want them to.

Have not watched a single episode of this season. After the initial critical backlash over the first couple of episodes, how is this season overall?

I thought last season was decent, but really only stayed with it because of the two lead actors.

If the show was going to spend this much time on the after effects of Stan's death then it probably should have done a better job of actually making Stan memorable the few times we saw his character alive.

I want to like this show, and there are individual things about it that I do like (Farrell has been pretty good), but overall it's just a convoluted mess.

They didn't event bother with showing him in the "previously on" segment. Plus, they were acting like he just died, did the writers forget about the time jump?

Good shite. I called it on the eyes wide shut shit.

Frank can't seem to catch a break, though.

Yawn. Leave it to this show to make an orgy party with high-priced hookers just plain dull.

And what's with everyone on this show only having conversations in whispered, hushed tones? They sound ridiculous.

Re: True Detective (S2E06) -- "Church in Ruins" -- 7/26/15

I'm thinking in terms of the ginger kid - the dude that they have pegged as the rapist may have been the rapist but I don't think he's the father. Dude's Mexican. I wouldn't be surprised if Ray's shady ass wife was cheating on him and the rape was incidental or that she was already pregnant or some shit. I'm just thinking out loud on that one.

Also, hey, no scenes at the loneliest place on Earth bar. I remember folks on here hating on the depressing guitar girl and her tunes. Hope you're happy.

A mixed bad, but the scene in the kitchen was really well done. Eyes Wide Shut stuff not so much though. Plus she was bound to meet up with somebody that knew her there. In terms of the son they did confirm it was the rapists son when Ray made the statement about looking into his eyes. Like Eyes Wide Shut some of the sex party stuff and that whole storyline seems to be written but somebody that has had very little sex in their lives, and have no idea what high priced call girls are actually like.

Maybe it's an inside joke since I actually know you dislike cheese on your tacos and have ribbed on you before with said fact, Mas puto! Are you just not connecting me to IRL?

So what are all high-priced call girls like exactly and are they the only way you can get any?
