The Whistler movies on DVD
I am delighted that 4 of the original 8 "Whistler" movies are now available on DVD. I've just ordered them, and sincerely hope that they will sell well enough to justify the release of the remaining 4 "Whistler" movies in the series. There is one entry that in my opinion, stands out as a true classic, and that is the 1947 film "The 13th Hour". It also was the last "Whistler" movie to feature Richard Dix as the star. Sadly, it was also Richard Dix's final motion picture. I so hope that Sony will release "The 13th Hour" on DVD in the near future. Also, I applaud Sony for releasing several Charles Starrett westerns on DVD. I hope Sony will consider releasing the Charles Starrett western "Frontier Fury" soon. This film is of special interest, because it features 3 songs by country music legend, Jimmie Davis.

Never seen the WHISTLER movies.
But I enjoy listening to the WHISTLER radio series on cool-rainy nights.
