especially the transition to a jail held by a private company and Piper getting the idea to sell used panties. Piper is so different than she thinks she is.

The 1st episode was really sad for me, I wanted to start with something more fun. That was the case last year too though, so all is good.

I like the new friendships that seem to be developing this year, gives it a new vibe. Still though, I am about Alex & Piper and like seeing them interact, both good and bad.

I hope Nicky gets out soon.

I was very surprised that Daya's child's father left like that. I guess in the end Pornstache was the better man. Yikes.

That rape ending was kind of jarring. It almost felt like they were making light of rape with how goofy the guy was and choice of music. Then seeing Dogget crying their was pretty sad.

Big Boo sure does get a lot of hot chicks.

1. I would throw my pie for Alex Vause.

2. Pennsatucky's story was really something else this year. She started off as a caricature, but now is a really real character. Her rape scene & reaction to it really broke my heart. I also love her friendship with Big Boo.

3. Lori Petty is crazy as hell. I love her.

4. They made the politics of the jail interesting, and that took some doing.

5. I missed Pornstache. I practially clapped in his brief scene.

6. Sophia and Nicky need to come back.

7. Piper is still the least interesting character of the lot, but the panty enterprise was still inspired.

8. I hope Poussey finds a girl.

9. Alex better be ok. She's my favorite on all levels.

10. Norma's story was the weakest. I just didn't get why they were all buying her story, but that's just me.

11. In my life, there's been heart ache and pain...

12. Healey and Red had great scenes together.

13. I couldnt fully appreciate the happy nature of the scenes with the water, because I was worried about Alex. It was nice to see them all happy though.

14. Looks like keeping the baby was a terrible call.

15. Trust no bitch.

Did Nicky actually hide the drugs in the desk, or did the CO? He seemed overly relieved after Caputo bought his story, but it doesn't make sense that he'd hide it at work when he took the rest.

I assumed the electrical guard (who looks like Chris Pratt's fatter, less successful brother) was sloppy and a packet got loose. Remember earlier when he and Nicky were sorting through them and she wanted to take a couple? That transaction took place at the desk.

I had a hard time buying Caputo letting the CO off the hook like that, though maybe this isn't over. I've only seen up to episode 3.

The fact that Norma was completely oblivious to Brooke and Poussey's repeated grievances and would give that "oh no!" look, and then go back to being worshipped was ridiculous, especially in light of her background.

Ruby seemed to be a wasted character, interesting interactions with Piper but not much of an ending there, mainly there to drive the obligatory wedge between Piper and Alex.

No interaction between Healey and Piper at all this season? Come on.

Red had some good storylines, as did Caputo. We'll probably see more of Bennett later.
