Episode 22 of 23
I don't know if anyone noticed, but the preview for next week's Flash was kind of a spoiler to a resolution of this story arc.

Yeah I was expecting more from the episode but then it ended and I remembered The Flash next week and thought ... WTF?

That Flash teaser looked incredible for next week.
I thought it was funny when Felicity thought her iPad had stopped the assailant and then realized it was Merlin's arrow that did the job.
Did anyone else cheer when they finally killed off Akio?
I liked seeing Canary use her scream in battle but does anyone else find it odd they introduced it on the Flash and haven't even explained it yet on Arrow? Season four is shaping up to be Arrow and his harem of heroines.

Wow that was just bad. I just don't care about any of these people. Felicity is ruined, the plot is a total mess and it's boring. Tons more red shirt "assassins" tonight. Ugh. Will watch the last one but doubt I watch next year. I may limit super hero watching next year to just Flash and Gotham

I wonder Roy calling himself "Jason" is an easter egg?
In the comic RED HOOD and THE OUTLAWS, Roy Harper and Jason Todd work together.
Like it when Diggle put in earplugs before Laurel let loose with the canary cry.
I notice that Katana in both ARROW and SUICIDE SQUAD are wearing the 52 version of her custome.
Guess there is no love for the original, design by the great Jim Aparo.

After watching Daredevil and The Flash....I am just finding Arrow really boring lately. Is it just me?
I am bored by the storyline and no longer care about the characters.

I hate when everybody on a show acts stupid.
Oliver: Trust me.
Diggle: You kidnapped my wife, man! No trust!!!
Felicity: The Oliver Queen I love died when you joined the League.
Oliver: No guys, really, trust me.
Team Arrow: You're so awful now. How can you do this to us?
Jeez.

It really bugged me how, after her 6 months of training, Laurel was holding her own while outnumbered 3 to 1 against League redshirts.
And it's ridiculous that a shrinking power hasn't been introduced for The Atom. He already looks like an Iron Man rip-off. If they wait until season it'll look like like an Ant-Man rip-off, too.

To be fair to the show's producers, I really don't see how they could have plausibly used the Atom's shrinking power on a show like Arrow. DC and WB screwed them when the show wanted Ted Kord's Blue Beetle and ended up with the Atom.
I understand the complaints about this season, it has been uneven at best. I think going in they thought Ra's al Ghul's presence alone would be enough to carry this season. The actor playing him has been very average and the writers haven't done much with the character.
They also didn't do a very good job introducing Katana. That whole marriage has felt off since the beginning of the season, all the way to the bizarre confrontation where she finally kills her husband. It wouldn't bother me if we never see those characters on Arrow ever again.

Everything about this season has been terrible and this episode is the worst of the bunch. Much of it makes little to no sense.
The Flash on the otherhand is such a great show. It makes me wonder if the Arrow people are even watching it?

Didnt Ray say that he was working on a "small" or "little" something with his suit during this episode? I assumed he is working on making it shrink and will have it do that with the spinoff.

I'll be glad when John slugs Ollie in next week's finale. What the hell was John supposed to think when Ollie threatened the life of his wife (even though he was faking it)
I haven't been as down on the show as many here, but I will be glad when this arc is over and Ollie/Arrow can go back to being the vigilante again. It has been a pretty down and dreary story arc.
With the new show being officially picked, next season is going to be pretty chaotic, especially with the many potential cross overs.
What was that gas that was dropped into the group's cell? Was it just sleeping gas? Everyone was panicking like it was cyanide gas and Ollie kept up his cold and distant act and left them to rot.

That gas was supposed to be poison to kill the entire cell. Will they survive?! Though it would hilarious to watch the fan reactions if they just rebooted Arrow in one fell swoop by offing most of its cast.

I suspect the twist will be something obvious like Ollie replacing it with inert gas, or giving them the cure at the last minute, etc, etc.
I'm really hoping they redeem the show next season. The only thing that's keeping me going now is the fact it was so good the last two seasons and its tie in with Flash, the new Team-Up show and the upcoming Supergirl.

Re: Arrow (S3E22) -- "This is Your Sword" -- 5/6/15
Why did they drag out Akio's death this long? We already knew he died and his parents broke up (which was hardly convincing). I kept expecting them to pull a fast one that he survived as a means to excuse all that BS counting time until the writers offed him.
Also, I felt nothing when Maseo died. The fact is, we didn't really know him or Tatsuo. Heck, I just realized the only time I kept getting happy whenever Rila Fukushima would guest star is because of my love of her character in The Wolverine. She was a total non-entity in this show.
He said something along the lines of "I'm working on a little idea." I took that as a hint that the Atom will start shrinking soon.

When they all got locked in the gas chamber, I wondered if Ollie plans to Lazarus Pit the entire team.

Maybe Ray goes all small, escapes and unlocks the cage before they all die.
As to the cure, weren't we told there was no cure so that angle should be out.

Doesn't the Lazarus Pit change them in some significant way? I know using it comes with risks of driving them batshit crazy.

Re: Arrow (S3E22) -- "This is Your Sword" -- 5/6/15
Arrow's writers clearly didn't follow that with Thea, unless it's a delayed effect in this TV universe. I was expecting Thea to come out of the Lazarus Pit diabolically crazy for the rest of the season and that Oliver would have to lock her up.
