Episode 20 of 22
Taraji P. Henson is guest starring tonight as Carter. She did return to shoot new scenes, which will be as unseen flashbacks.

Good to see Carter back on the show last night even though it was in this form.
Good episode. I think the show is finishing season 4 quite strong.

Overall I've been finding this season kinda on the boring side.

I dunno, I sort of found it boring. Almost too sappy for what I expect in this show.

I never thought Carter as a character brought much to Person of Interest. Henson is a lot more fun as Cookie.
The episode was okay but I didn't really feel it touched on new ground for Reese or Carter. I imagine this is how Shaw will get brought back in a future episode.

I didn't really care for it myself. The self-aware hallucination thing is a bit tired. I think I would have prefered if the fake reality was a bit less lucid, particularly after it was revealed to be a hallucination/dream. The way it is actually felt more like an actual ghost/spirit story and I don't think that fits this show.

This might have been the worst episode of the series for me. I think the acting was great and Jim and Taraji still have great chemistry but the episode was boring and failed at TV shows one purpose, entertainment. For me, no matter how good the acting is or cinematography is or any other great technical achievement is, if it doesn't entertain me, then it has failed.
I hope it bounces back as I am sure it will. Every series has that one self indulgent experiment.
