And that is now the beginning of the end. They should have had a contingency plan to deal with Paige.

I can't believe they did the reveal this episode. Some good dramatic stuff here. And finally we get confirmation that the defector is actually a KGB mole.
I love the last scene where it suggests that Paige will spill the secret to Stan. One question--does Stan actually suspect Martha of being the one who planted the bug in the pen? The scene was brief and couldn't figure out what he thought.

the paige stuff was pretty cool, will allow the material to continue to unfurl…
low key ep that will have ramifications for the remainder of the season...

This season has produced some really riveting and memorable (often in an unpleasant way) scenes:
-suitcase
-dentist
-necklacing
-pill ingestion
And now the Paige scene. I didn't know what they were going to say as I know they'd talked about whether they should tell her, but hadn't actually figured out a strategy.
When the pastor arrived to make his travel plans, I wondered if Phillip actually knew how to book travel. But I guess he does that all day in the time that the show doesn't cover.
The thought certainly seemed to have crossed his mind. But he didn't want to bring it up to the other guy so we'll see where he goes with it.

The writing of this episode was awesome.
I was making a lot of noises watching the scenes with Paige, I'm sure my wife was annoyed.

Just watched this (side note - FX Now is finally on Roku. Yay!). Great episode. Just riveting. And Paige, I don't think she was going to spill the beans to Stan, just putting two and two together and figuring why her folks are so nice to him.

This show does quiet tension better than just about any other I've seen. The ending with Paige just staring at Stan was great. I'm not even sure that she was considering turning them in. It was almost as though seeing Stan made her really start to put the pieces together of just how much of a lie her parents live and just how f'd up the whole thing is.
It was nice to have an episode that didn't feature a horrifying death scene. There's been a lot of that this year.
Regarding Martha, I'm tempted to go back and watch earlier episodes because I can't really remember a lot of the specifics of her interactions with Stan. At first I thought Stan might be suspecting the black agent whose name I can't remember. I've always had the impression that Stan doesn't trust him completely.

I also believed Stan was more suspicious of that other agent.
I get the feeling that Paige is going to tell someone and that person is killed because of it. Probably the pastor if he isn't a Soviet agent.

Yeah for Paige when Stan walked it it just kind of hit her, "Whoa! My parents are KGB spies and Stan's in the FBI and...here he is...and he's here all the time...and they're FRIENDS!"

I do think that one way or the other Stan finds out about them this season.

i think stan looks at the drawing of the woman Gaad fought with in the first ep, and realizes "that's elizabeth". ten seconds later he starts formulating a plan how he can trade her for Nina.
i think if he suspects martha, he tries to figure out a way to trade her for nina.
i think he tries to figure out a way to trade philip's white IROC for nina.
his house full of stuff no one wants and some board game to be named later, for nina.
eventually he turns himself in to the residentura and is headed to russia, just as she works off her sentence at the science gulag and comes to america.
