Great episode. What was in Norma's hand at the end?

Holy shit what an episode! So much great stuff from both Highmore and Farmiga tonight. Really liked the interrogation scene with Norman and Romero as well as the blow up scene afterwards between him and Norma. The end was pretty great too where he lost it with Emma and went crazy with Norma in his room. Very creepy scene with him hallucinating Norma in the bathroom and drowning himself to try and remember if he did anything to Annika.
Norma and the psychology professor could be interesting depending on what direction the series plans to take that storyline. The idea of Norman and Norma visiting a counselor has already been done but this seems different and I'm guessing could be a relationship for Norma eventually. I was glad that the girl in the lake wasn't Annika and seemingly that Norman didn't kill her but I'm curious as to who shot her and what it was that she gave Norma.
The scenes with Dylan weren't too bad tonight. I'm just wondering where the stuff with Caleb is ultimately leading. The new guy coming into town trying to run against Romero for sheriff seemed a bit out of the blue to me but I guess we'll see where it leads.

It was great to see Norma really fearing her son. I also like how Norman's vision of his mother has her hair in a bun like it is in the film. I think when she actually adapts that style she might be in trouble.
The shot of Emma driving with all that pot was ridiculous/hilarious.

Yeah, I had a chuckle at Emma driving with all the plants. It reminded me of the Simpsons episode when the blind guy had the weed and the cops showed up with a prostitute and beer to 'investigate.'

I have enjoyed this show right from the start, but so far, this season has been the best so far.
The bathroom hallunination with Norman and Norma was quietly one of the scariest of the series.

Yeah they are really bringing it this year. Farmiga was incredible in this episode, the one scene in the office where she was in agony over what to do to protect her family was incredible. Highmore did a great job showing all the rage he has inside. Terrific episode and Emma is gorgeous.

When this show first started, I initially thought it was weird her character was so much younger and sexier than how I'd imagined old Mother Bates from the film, but now I think what they are doing makes a lot of sense.

Another great episode. The sophomore slump is definitely gone. This season might be stronger than season one so far.

That scene made me think that the matronly Mrs. Bates in the film is all a product of Norman's imagination. I think he reacts to his inappropriate sexual attraction to his mother by imagining her as more matronly and severe than she actually is.

I noticed while Norman was under water they flashed through a lot of images. He would go back and forth between Emma, the prostitute and working on his animals with a knife. There also appears to be a shot or two of the blonde who was chained up and drowned. Maybe he found some random woman and took out his frustrations on her.
His mind is definitely mixing up sex and murder.
BTW, the thing in her hand looks like a flash drive.

Freddie Highmore needs to submit this episode for Emmy consideration. He was fantastic in it. I agree this was the best we've seen the show since Season 1.

I think he is great. The guy that plays Dylan is the real stiff and should be working on a CW show.
Since MNF is over this show is the main reason to get excited about Mondays.

Yes though maybe she could use some big macs to add a little more weight on those legs.

Damnit!! Why did they have to kill off Annika so soon?
But yes, solid episode. Some really crazy intensity in the scene with Norma and Norman and him losing it after she kept hounding him.
I wonder what's on that flash drive that Annika brought back? Maybe it has to do with that club that Norma infiltrated while looking for her.

She shouldn't be aware of Norma and the club, or that Norman is a psycho, so there's really nothing she should know about them that would merit any assistance.
Can't remember if Norman or anyone else brought up the bypass to her...
