Wow. If I was Blair, I would throw the race to just get away from Hayley. She never stops talking and she went on and on and on about him making a mistake.... I think Jeff and Jackie might be the only couple who might make a run at dating after the race. Also, was that one of most bunched up finishes between 2nd and 8th place ever?

I do think he deserved to get chewed out a little. It wasn't like she didn't spot it when they went through the first time, and he just chose not to listen to her. He certainly gives off an arrogant vibe.

There was a point of diminishing returns though.

She's still very attractive.

Good on the non-elim. The flights screwed them.

Nice to see the truck stop team take first. They'll probably be eliminated next.

I'm team Aly.

Also happy it was a non-elim. I like team New Kids. I'd rather see Team Clone or Jackie go home.

Re: The Amazing Race (S26E03) -- "#MurphysLaw" -- 3/6/15

I was surprised to see the dating couples start to turn on each other after such a great start. I suspect a few of us were wrong about them and the trend will continue. If sports show us anything it's that winning can hide a lot of issues and losing quickly brings out the real.

We could be looking at another first to worst with the truck stop team, and bye bye. But they do seem to really be a good fit for each other.

Yes, he made a mistake...but the length at which she berated him was to much. Her voice is so shrill and high pitched I am surprised humans can even hear her. She is a bit much.

There might become a point where nobody except those that love that stuff can enjoy shows like Survivor and TAR. Between the constant forced #BS, and now the selfie crap, this might be our last season of TAR and Survivor.

The show needs viewers in the demos to survive. If it means stupid hashtags or selfies, fine. I hope the ratings can allow the show to continue even if they cut it to one cycle per year

Phil tweeted that they gained 2 million more viewers from the DVR users. I've been worried about the ratings since they moved it to Fridays from Sundays. Looking at tv by the numbers on zap2it.com, they 18-49 numbers increased 47% for the 90 min episode and 55% for the Friday episode last week. That's pretty good, but is it good enough?

Re: The Amazing Race (S26E03) -- "#MurphysLaw" -- 3/6/15

Honestly, sometimes I forget it's on on Friday nights. I'll go sit down the next day, and see my DVR has recorded an episode. "Oh, yeah"

I'll say this. With all the sports delays, recording CBS on Sunday night is kind of a pain in the ass. As long as it's on the air, I don't care what night it airs.

I'm in the same boat. For the two Fridays that this race has aired so far, I remembered on the first one but was out to dinner and didn't get back until halfway through the episode, and two nights ago I completely forgot.

Since I've cut the cord, I don't have a DVR to fall back on these days, so I'm thankful that CBS puts the episodes up online the day after (even if they do feature almost the same commercials every break).

As for the hashtags...#stfuhayley

I hope they consider us DVR watchers because I refuse to watch anything but sports live anymore. And even then I will often let games record for about a quarter so I can skip commercials.

Also watch via DVR to avoid commercials.

I wonder if the non-elim was planned the entire time, or if they saw how bad the flights worked out and decided they deserved another chance.

Phil has stated that the non-elimination legs are always predetermined despite what viewers may think.

What else would he say? There is reason people have started to really question those. And similar to people questioning the selection of immunity challenge types in Survivor, I don't think the viewers are wrong.

I believe Phil. I think that the viewer questioning occurs because of the way the shows are edited--naturally, the editors will play up the difficulties of the team that is in last on one of these legs so that the non-elimination aspect will seem like a deus ex machina. I know that I can spot a non-elimination leg about halfway through an episode--the editing takes on a different cadence.

I mean, in this episode, how do we know how far behind Team New Kids really was? Yes, they caught a later flight, but no one was able to start the day early...so editing sleight-of-hand might have made what was really only a twenty or thirty minute difference seem like hours.

That's your choice, but given the number of times the fan favorites survive through essential non-elimination miracles, or very suspect challenge options, I personally no longer buy it. I certainly used to feel differently, but lately there is just little room for doubt IMO.

I so want the shows to be on the up and up. But lately I feel I'm watching the WWE, where the eventual outcome is largely predetermined, and I still watch because they make it entertaining along the way.

Don't buy it. They always seem to save teams for strategic reasons (team has a fan base, team is sympathetic, etc.) .. just rarely feels random to me.

Shit, good call. Been thinking she looks like someone. The annoying chick reminds me of Anna Faris. Most of the girls this season are on the cute side but none really stand out.

I know Narita is a bit outside of the city area, but I was surprised to see everyone not try and find a travel agency?

I hope Blair at least got to touch the funbags. It's Hayley's only redeeming quality.
