Condemned 3!?
Condemned Creator Asks Whether You'd Like to Play (Or Develop) Condemned 3
Condemned creator and former Monolith Productions founder and CEO Jason 'Jace' Hall has put the feelers out to determine whether people might be interested in playing a new instalment in the series, or indeed developing it. Hall still owns the rights to the Condemned series, which he helped create, and says he's "consistently asked" about a third game.
"There have been 2 game titles released for the franchise, 'Condemned: Criminal Origins' and 'Condemned: Bloodshot' - they both did well, and I am consistently asked when a third game might be created," Hall writes in a Facebook post. "Since I am focused on other things, and will be for quite some time, this franchise is just sitting there."
Condemned: Criminal Origins launched for Xbox 360 in 2005 before Condemned 2: Bloodshot released in 2008 for Xbox 360 and PS3, with both games published by SEGA. As for Condemned 3, Hall is considering giving the license to a "proven indie development team" in a bid to push the franchise forward.
"I am contemplating finding an interested and proven Indie development team AND PROVIDING IT TO THEM, so that they can take over the franchise and move it forward," he continues. "As an indie, it can be very hard to get marketing/media attention for a title that you work on. This franchise is already quite known, has market demand, and is in an innovative genre/category."
Hall adds: "Should I explore this idea further? What say you all?"
Well, should he? Would you play Condemned 3?

Re: Condemned 3!?
I'll second everyone else...I'd still put Condemned:CO in my top, lets say dozen faves last Gen.
Condemned 2... I think I made it an hour in.
Gideon, they tried to make it too complicated. Instead of sticking with what worked they tried to make it a first person brawler. Left fist = left trigger, right fist = right trigger.

Condemned 1 is a fantastic game. Condemned 2 is still quite good though.

Completely agree with the majority segment on here. Condemned 1 was fantastic, it made me want to write a story in the same vain (I started it out okay but it was another one of those unfinished stories of mine). Condemned 2 was okay, but just not the same. Heck, if he is serious about Condemned 3, then maybe I should go back to that project of mine.

Re: Condemned 3!?
I actually enjoyed Condemned 2. It's a different experience than C1, but for me not necessarily a bad one. C1 felt like you were dropped in the middle of Se7en, where C2 felt like a more sinister, murderous version of Arkham City.
I actually preferred the combat in Condemned 2 to the first one. In C1 I hated anytime an enemy would show up because it was all about swinging clunky melee weapons around with *just* the right timing. In C2 I actually felt like I was in control of the character during combat.

I thought that was kind of the point with the first Condemned though. The "clunky" combat made each encounter terrifying. I know if I was swinging a big ass pipe as someone was trying to kill me, I wouldn't be very accurate either.
