2 of my fav sitcoms from the 60s, great deal of full series sets on amazon. I Dream of Jeannie http://www.amazon.com/I-Dream-Jeanni...eam+of+Jeannie $23.99 for the full series, all 5 seasons. the packaging sucks, but hey-its the whole series. and , bewitched http://www.amazon.com/Bewitched-Comp...ords=bewitched is $27.99, has similar packaging, but is 8 seasons

Good prices, though they've both been slightly cheaper at Amazon and other retailers before. IDOJ has reached $17.99, for example.

Now that is a great price. It's just 2 seasons, but that's 70 episodes. And it contains the 2 full-length movies as well.

The old me would have snatched this up right away because of the bargain.

The new self is trying to be more selective in what I buy and determined to reduce my unwatched pile.

What to do?

I'm tempted because my original sets are those horrible DVD18s from Uni and this one is SS discs. I just have to find a "good" way to justify the purchase.

I got this for a little cheaper at CH during the coupon thing about a year ago. I've never just seen it this cheap ... ever. There are some t hings I do buy just because they are cheap, but this is something I really wanted to revisit. If it's something you wanted before, I'd buy it. If it's something that wasn't even on your radar until you saw the price, skip it. That's how I know anyway.

Unwatched PILE? I have an unwatched ROOM! I may not watch everything until I retire in 25 years... But I'll tell you for sure, I ain't rebuying most of this stuff whenever the next gen stuff arrives (4K or whatever). I'm satisfied with what I got...

Re: full series deals of 2 great 60s sitcoms

I checked the price on this set almost every day after missing one day sales in October in for 2 years so I pounced on it this time and dropped $40 to get free shipping. I was gonna try to justify Bewitched but I got an unwatched pile too and rewatch pile.

I tell myself I am bypassing 2k for the 4k's besides the fact that lots of what I want isn't on 2k and the ones that made it are most of the time so botched that I wouldn't buy them anyway.

Uh oh now it says temporarily out of stock for that price.

I have a feeling scalpers buy these deals up for resell.

yeah, right. Wait til 4K is 5 bucks / movie and then we'll see .

At the rate I increase my collection, I will never watch everything. I guess until I quit hitting pawn shops, thrift stores and frequenting these forums, it will never end ...

Same here. This is a great price, but I keep hoping against hope for a BluRay release on this set. That would be my justifiable double-dip.

Re: full series deals of 2 great 60s sitcoms

as much as the spindle packaging sucks, it really is worth buying new boxes for them based on the price point. another set I bought recently at a good price with spindle packaging was the full series of "the shield", oh, and the colorization on the early seasons of jeannie and bewitched is good enough the it is worth watching the colorized versions if for no other reason, to not have z noticable change from b&w to color on the later seasons, and by the way, i dont beleive the the millcreek re-issues of jeannie and bewitched have the colorized editions
