ok we have a 6-4 lead on the other group. Let's discuss splitting our vote so our 3 and 3 go against their 4. Morons all of them.

Reed was voting with them. And he did end up voting with them...for Jeremy.

Blindsides are talked about often, but is there anyone at all who saw that coming?
That was crazy. 2 weeks ago, it appeared as if Josh & Jeremy were in power positions and now both are out.

I didn't see that coming, but that move didn't make sense to me. You have the numbers and you should just eliminate the rival alliance and then Baylor, Missy, Jon, and Jaclyn can pick off Jeremy and Natalie. That makes the most sense. I would rather go up against Baylor, Missy, Jeremy and Natalie than compete against Reed, Alec, Wes and Keith in the immunity challenges.... Dumb move, but Jon doesn't appear to be the brightest bulb in the box anyways...

Survivor history has taught us that flipping on your alliance only paints a target on your back. Jon and Jaclyn could easily be the next two to go.

If they keep flipping they wont have a chance of winning. A common mistake is not taking the jury into consideration.

Sad to see Jeremy go but still a great episode. This is shaping up to be one of those crazy flip floppy unpredictable post merge games like Gabon,Amazon,Nicuaraga etc

I've taken this off my DVR, he was the only player that I found interesting. I'm done with this Season.

If you're into mud wrestling or feet than this was the episode for you. As for the "blindside" they telegraphed that early on with all the Jeremy screen time.

I guess I've checked out of the season as I saw the vote but didn't really know who was targeting whom or aligned with whom.

That's why I don't watch the commercials.
Also, Jeremy has had screen time all year so I didn't think he had any more or less screen time this episode. If anyone's screentime was substantially increased, it was Reed's. I just assumed he was going home on the split vote. Clearly that was why Keith, Wes, and the other guy voted for him. That way Keith didn't have to play the idol.

More specifcally, these days it's the players having to deal with being in front of a bunch of crybabies on the jury that vote emotion rather than who played the better game.
Picking the right to time to nail Jeremy was key and I did indeed see it coming. In fact, it was metioned by more than one player that no way anybody else wins if Jeremy was in the final. I agree with them.

wow, bad episode for Jeremy. Gave up reward only to go look for an idol that wasnt there. then was voted off. keith could win it all if the other alliance keeps voting for its own members

I was thinking the same thing - that if you have a foot fetish (thank god I don't), this episode was going to be a huge turn-on.

Missy and Baylor needed to eventually align themselves closely with Jon and Jacklyn but they did it too soon. You don't blindside your alliance when you can lose the numbers. They got rid of Jeremy but in the process lost Natalie's vote and the numbers.
Jon very well could be hashtag blindsided next.
Still kind of amazes me that after 25 seasons people still don't know that when you have the numbers you stick to your alliance.

In other words you think the smart gameplay is too follow the strategy of the people alligned with the Tony's,Boston Robs and Kim's who got their ass handed to them.

The last 4 winners have all been people shown as the one's overtly controlling the game. The last time anyone lost who was controlling votes it was Dawn and even then her emotional breakdowns and Cochran wooing all the jurors made that result seem pretty reasonable.

Re: Survivor: San Juan Del Sur (S29E09) -- "Getting' To Crunch Time" -- 11/19/14
I realize Probst thinks pretty much everything he does is historic and unprecedented... but I think calling a challenge historic because they are using their feet is getting a bit ridiculous. I was just hoping he was going to say "that could be a million dollar footjob" (come on Probst, it was teed up for you!)
I think it was the right thought.. but as you say it was way too early. They would have had a 4-2 advantage inside their alliance with Missy and Baylor, they just needed to bide their time where the opposing alliance was whittled down enough (1 or 2 left) and then blindside Jeremy You vote him out when there is 1 or 2 people on the other side left and at worst it's then 4-3 (or 4-2 if you do it with only 1 person left, which means you can split the vote if there's an idol in play). Now they have the 4 people on the opposing alliance pissed off and 2 in their own alliance upset and no credibility beyond Missy and Baylor. Of course seeing as most of the folks on Survivor these days are morons, the move could work as they have taken out the two people who seemed to know what they were doing.
