Do state attorney races even have TV commercials? And does anyone pay as much attention to them as they seem to be suggesting here?

Based on Michigan, yes to the first question, probably no to the 2nd. The incumbent was painted as Satan incarnate by his opponent but still won. The incumbent advertised his record and "who?" when referring to his opponent.

I don't recall ever seeing one, but Chicago is hyperpolitical.

i see alicia's bloopers when doing the second go at the commercials coming back to haunt her. she made a reference to child services, and did what i took to be a southern black voice.

"makes light of child abuse, and much like GWB, hates black people"

i am not sure if Niles from frasier is sincere about running a clean campaign, or full of beans and gaming her.

RIP Cary's anus.

This is still one of the best and smartest shows on TV, but this season has been odd. Too many "big" storylines between Cary's arrest, Alicia running for SA, and the new, now slightly more established firm.

I never thought I would say this but I do miss the "case of the week" episodes, which seem to have taken a backseat this season. Also, we need more Eli Gold instead of this boring campaign manager.

The SA race is really bogging this down. It's just not that interesting.

I love Bishop, the actor really sells that roll. When he tells his son with that barely menacing tone that Cary can play after their conversation, and he just clears the room.

The wire tap recording is going to come back, clearly. The static obscured key moments in the conversation and it could easily have been a three's company type misunderstanding where they were actually planning a surprise birthday party or something (kidding here, just saying). We never actually hear him say anything about murdering Cary. Bishop is up to something, and his weird admission that he said it but he didn't mean it really suggests something more going on. Bishop runs a pretty tight ship, evidently, so I don't think he leaves much room for interpretation when he says shit like that.

I mentioned in last week's thread that I wished that they'd just jettison the case of the week and focus mostly on the Bishop plot-line because I dig the Bishop role, love Cary, and excited about what I'm imagining will be Kalinda's demise (she's my least favorite series regular), but after this last ep., I was actually longing for previous seasons' pacing and more firm-related drama. Season is just way too bloated due to the SA race (which I agree is boring). Not enough Eli, not enough Diane, and that's a problem considering those two are the shows best performers. Still great, but one of these arcs needs to wrap ASAP.

Seems like there was tons of Eli earlier in the season before they brought in the new campaign manager, who's fine, but just not as fun as Eli.

Our power was off for the first 45 minutes of this episode. Can I catch it later in the week? Nope! Is it online? Yes, for $3. Hmm. I feel that I've already paid for it with my cable connection. Off to alternative sources I go.

The networks really don't want viewers, do they?

Your cable company wants you to pay $3?

But as far as whether networks want viewers, I'd say yes, they do, during the broadcast window when your power was out. Same-season reruns are pretty rare. I know some networks have episodes on their sites but I don't know about CBS. Some also have delays.
