The above photo is from the 200th episode viewing party.
The guy on the left is the showrunner Jeremy Carver. The guy on the right is the real Bobby Singer, director and EP of the show.
Wow, 200 episodes.

I still remember several seasons back the reaction of Jensen Ackles's (played by Dean Winchester) upon meeting the actor playing the real life Robert Singer... "What kind of douchebag names a character after himself!?"

I was thinking about that comment the other day during one of those TNT re-airs.
I enjoyed this one as well. I like when they collectively make fun of themselves.

Thought it would be horrible but it was pretty good. I liked when the third brother came up. Didn't think they would ever bring him up again.

Supernatural has really turned into a legendary show. 10 seasons and there are still great episodes being made. This is really one of the great ones.

Yeah this episode was really great. This show's always pulled off comedy episodes really well and it does the meta stuff in such a way that it acknowledges but doesn't beat you over the head with it.

As much fun as it was, it felt a little empty without a Castiel appearance. I guess I consider him one of the boys now.

A lot of people think Chuck is God. I dont buy it, though. He is a good character and I hope we see him again.

I will admit to having watched the last couple of seasons out of obligation rather than anticipation, but 'Fan Fiction' was the kind of amazing TV that renews my faith that the show can still hit the high notes.
A real entertaining joy from start to finish - with plenty of fun references.
Wow - loved it...

Really enjoyed this one as well. I wasn't sure about it during the intro, but it ended up being a great episode.

Gotta say I loved that version of Carry On and since I got a little dust in my eyes, I wonder if the boys were genuine in that moment with the wetness in the eyes or if that was a scripted reaction and shot at another time as reaction shots often are.

Chuck is God in the Supernatural universe. He's clearly a stand-in for Supernatural's original creator, Eric Kripke. It's a meta-reference, which is why they've shelved the character so long. Looking him up, I never realized how young he was for a showrunner when Supernatural premiered.
I liked this episode a great deal, probably the only good episode we've had this season. The homage to Rushmore was brilliant. I liked how they referenced the third Winchester brother, stuck in the Cage with Lucifer.
Some of the early lines did seem to be directed at fans bored with Supernatural by the writers. This is our version, the fan fiction can be your version nonsense.
