I tried to email Justin about his Los Angeles Plays Itself review, but the "re-Captcha" feature on the email page blocked it. I have no idea what "re-Captcha" is or what one is supposed to do with it to allow an email to be sent. Just thought someone administering this site ought to know.

In any event, I wanted to ask Justin if he knew anything about how Cinema Guild was able to distribute this title, given all the film clips and given CG's lack of deep pockets to pay for these clips. Did some lawyer simply tell them that it was all "fair use"? That seems pretty risky to me. In any event, I figure I better buy this Blu-ray while I've got the chance.

It's to verify that you're a person. We were getting a lot of automated junk mail through these things, and that's why it was added. (I think I was the one who added it, although I don't have access anymore to add instructions, remove it, etc.)

I see. I guess I was supposed to copy the number. But there was no instruction telling us that. I'll remember that next time. Thanks.

You've never seen those before Ash? They are used all over the web for account creation and password recovery and other tasks. I've probably used a recaptcha a billion times in the last ten years.

I've never seen one that looks like that or that comes without instructions.
