Deep Discount Sale

They've dropped prices on just about everything (or most things).
The sale prices seem to me to be about equivalent to past the few November sales with the coupon discount.
Some decent deals for some of the things I was looking for (Avengers Season 5 Bd is $18 for example) but YMMV of course.

Until tomorrow morning there is an extra $10 off an $80+ order with the coupon code KRINGLE

Re: Deep Discount Sale

Holy Cr@p, Batman! As much as I hate DD, some of these prices are unbelievable; even knowing they're owned by a wholesaler. I don't where the money's going to come from, but I suspect I'll be spending a bit of it here!

The coupon KRINGLE only works on DVD and not Blu ray.

My wish list is back. Everyone else have theirs?

Unfortunately, it looks like they removed all of the OOP titles from it. Had quite a few there as placeholders.

GRISWOLD takes 10% off BR or DVD, but you need four items to qualify. Good through 11/10.

Don't know... where my login worked right after the site changeover it did not last night and I really didn't care enough to attempt a reset (it was very late). I may later today just to see...

Re: Deep Discount Sale

Just crosschecked my Amazon wish list with DD. Nope, DD still sucks. Prices are horrible. Now I remember why I haven't ordered from them since like 2009

I've found it's frequently less expensive to order from them via their Amazon MP store rather than directly. Still crappy packaging but you also don't have the minimum order size for "free" shipping.

Re: Deep Discount Sale

Frankenstein Created Woman BD for $9 something is a great deal. It is even better when you realize the distributor for that disc has gone bankrupt and the existing supply is it.

The WB Archive BDs of OUT OF THE PAST and WIND AND THE LION are only $11 each w/10% discount. Unfortunately THE GREAT RACE is higher priced.

Damn I had no idea, that's a major bummer. They were great people to work with as far as press releases and reviews go. They sent me Frankenstein Created Woman to review and included a pretty awesome little button in the package with it and then were cool enough to send me Dracula Prince Of Darkness to review months and months after it was released because they liked my FCW review. Great folks, sad to see them go.

I fully endorse their two Hammer Blus.

Yes, that's a total bummer, especially so when they were apparently poised to re-release all of the Hammer titles.

Yeah actually, mine just came back too, though with all the oop gone as you say. Also, some of the images are different and the ordering of the items on it has changed, at least for a few things, but that's no big deal at all.

Certainly better than their cs claiming that the problem was with my browser.

I sucked it up and reset my password since it was not working. My wish list is still gone.

Are the WAB's burned? Does anyone have any anecdotal evidence as to burned BR's life span?

Unlike the DVDs, the Warner Archive Blu-rays are not burned. They are regular pressed Blu-ray discs.

Re: Deep Discount Sale

I meant to buy only one movie, (Flying Swords 3D). To meet the 4 required though, did some searching, and using their ECE $9.99 link, I was pleasantly surprised that they have a lot of good prices on their movies, specially Live Concert Blu Rays. I was cross checking the prices of these concerts with Amazon's, and was really amazed that their prices are much better by a long margin, even before the extra 10% off. How often can you say that? I had to hold off on buying more.

If you're interested in live concerts, I would highly recommend browsing their catalogue. Here's what I got today.

Queen Rock Montreal & Live Aid $8.71
Performing This Week: Live at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Beck,Jeff $8.02
75th Birthday Celebration: Live at Montreux 2008 Jones,Quincy $8.35
Live at Montreux 1997 Earth Wind & Fire $8.35
This Christmas Live in Chicago McDonald,Michael $6.15
3D Safari Africa Double Feature $7.36
Flying Swords of Dragon Gate 3D $15.57
Katy Perry the Movie: Part of Me $3.99
Alcatraz: The Complete Series $8.63
Total after 10% discount and Tax $73.03

That true for Dracula: Prince of Darkness too? Who's the distro that went bankrupt?
