No decision yet. USA just renewed Royal Pains which gets slightly better ratings than this for 2 seasons. If I had to guess, most likely this will get a short 6th and final season like White Collar.

Just caught up with this. Pretty average season in my opinion.
The finale could easily serve as a series finale, so I wouldn't be that bothered if it didn't come back for another season.

So I just finished marathoning the last 6 episodes of season 5.
It was a decent arc. But, I wasn't crazy about having Annie with the heart condition, which was the main focus of season 5.
Anyways, after watching the season finale, it looks like the writers/producers essentially wrapped everything up with no loose ends. Belenko was also a pretty weak villain and having him change and become an asset kind of sucked.
Anyways, they left things pretty much with closure all around:
Annie and McQuaid are now together and happy
Joan gets a big promotion
Auggie quits the agency and decides to travel the world with Tasha.
Arthur decides to make a run for the Senate.
Then at the very end, Auggie and Annie say their goodbyes.
There was/is really nothing left for them to come back for story-wise. If this does get cancelled, I'm satisfied with how it ended.

Canceled http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/liv...seasons-761446
I agree with DJariya that there wasn't much story to come back for and the season finale makes for a good series finale. I'm kind of sad to see it go though, I still enjoyed it.

I'm actually okay with the ending, but felt that the series had a lot of potential that was never realized, and that the first half of Season 5 didn't work nearly as well as it could have. So, bittersweet news for me.

I'm OK with the cancellation. Like others have said - the ending wrapped everything up and I think it had run it's course anyway.

So is this series worth watching overall? I only watched the pilot episode and then never found the time to watch after that. Eventually I gave up on recording it to free up DVR space.
It seemed like a lesser version of Alias which I was a big fan of. So is this a show worth watching in its entirety?

It's kind of weird: I thought the actual stories were better in the first couple of seasons, when it was painfully obvious that 98% of the show was filmed in Canada (that, or Washington DC has an ton of Bank of Nova Scotia branches everywhere! )
A few seasons in, the show got a big budget boost and actually started filming all over the place: Paris, Germany, Austria, Turkey, Japan, etc. The "look and feel" of the show improved immensely. But at the same time, that's when - to me - the plotlines started going downhill. I preferred the "bad guy of the week" setup over the season-long arcs, and of course as any show goes on, the characters' relationships get all tangled up, and characters were written off and new ones added.
It's a fun show, no doubt. It helps that Piper Perabo is, like, #3 on my "All-Time Hot Chicks" list. But it's a slightly edgier version of the same "light fun" USA used to be known for, like Psych. It's also kind of amusing that I have the same problem with Covert Affairs that I do with Anthony Bourdain's shows: at first, the content was great, but the visuals sucked; now the visuals are great, but the content sucks (to be fair, it's not that Parts Unknown "sucks" exactly... I just feel like Bourdain is rapidly running out of places to visit, and is running out of things to say about places he's already been).

Good points by Rex. I actually preferred the final season arc to the preceding arc. I say try it. I don't expect one to binge it, but work through it as you have time.

I enjoyed the early seasons more when the show was about a green CIA agent learning to be a spy. The later seasons were good but less interesting when it was about Anne Walker - super spy. I'm fine with the show ending like it did.
