I felt like the reviewer missed the mark on Planes Fire and Rescue. My 3 year old loved the movie - heck she just wanted to look at the poster a month after she watched the movie - and I found it to be fun for a kids movie. Furthermore, I liked this one a lot better than the original "planes" movie.
Furthermore, I though the animation on the screen looked really good. The firefighting sequences were pretty awesome.
Sure, this isn't Toy Story or Up or anything else in that league, but I don't think it was ever trying to be in that league.
Putting on a "Rent" recommendation ignores the fact that people are probably buying this movie for the kids. Sure, it is a rent for the adults (at best) but it is definitely a buy for people whose kids love cars and planes.
