Arrow (S3E04) -- "The Magician" -- 10/29/14
"The Magician" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)
NYSSA RETURNS TO STARLING CITY, RA'S AL GHUL MAKES HIS ENTRANCE - A furious Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law) confronts Oliver (Stephen Amell) about Sara. When Oliver learns Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) is alive, he suspects Merlyn killed Sara. Oliver and Nyssa join forces and go after the Dark Archer, intent on bringing Sara's killer to justice. Laurel (Katie Cassidy) keeps her distance from Nyssa, as she blames her sister's death on her involvement with the League of Assassins. Meanwhile, Oliver and Roy (Colton Haynes) work on repairing their respective relationships with Thea (Willa Holland), who has returned home. Nyssa discusses Oliver with her father, Ra's al Ghul (guest star Matt Nable). John Behring directed the episode written by Wendy Mericle & Marc Guggenheim (#304). Original airdate 10/29/2014.

Interesting. Was he getting out of the Lazarus Pit or was that just a bath?

not a fan of roy's costume. too many buckles. makes him look less like a superhero and more like an extra on the pirates of penzance.
i love roy's response to an enemy, backflip off a car into a neck dart. maybe less with the cirque du soleil more with the fisticuffs next time?
thea, 1995 called and wants its overalls back. nice bippy top under it though.
laurel still on a diet of Noassatall.
every time det lance calls sara, i fear he will relapse when he finds out the truth. i am preemptively heartbroken.
unfamiliar with the comic or story, but love every minute of this show.

I didn't like Ra's. Didn't like his voice. Didn't like his look. Didn't like his rings.
Maybe he'll grow on me with more screen time.
Roy's attempt to protect Thea was so inept. Everyone on this show catches, dodges, or deflects arrows and Roy gets taken down in a second with a dart. Poor Roy.

Loved the climatic fight scene with Ollie, Malcolm and Nyssa. really well choreographed. Surprised they kept some continuity with The Flash episode having Felicity be MIA because she was on that show and then have her appear at the end after returning.
I'm sure we'll be seeing Nyssa again soon. Wouldn't be surprised if she has something to do with Laurel's training.

I thought this was classic Arrow, probably the best one this year, since I've blocked Sara's death in episode one from my mind.
I thought Barrowman was pretty meh as the Black Archer in season one but he's really taken a shine to the role this season. That was a great scene between him and Oliver, face to face.
