Lords Of The Fallen (Dark Souls inspired game) PS4, XB1, PC

This game came out today. I started hearing about it for the past two weeks. There's a few gameplay videos out for it:

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/2IvcSDnl9tQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/XcnMRHK5-40" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

and some trailers:

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/bXFAJOQnwJc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/bduGNgPG1e4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I loved Dark Souls 2 so this looks right up my alley.

I'm interested given my extreme love of Dark Souls, but this is one that can wait for a price drop. I've read a lot of early impressions that mention bugs and glitches (some game-breaking), so that's just another reason to wait.

I've probably put in a good 4 hours with this today. I haven't read any of the reviews, but this game definitely feels Dark Souls-lite, and that's not a bad thing. I'm really enjoying it.

There's a terrific amount of jank here (squirly controls sometimes, camera, screen tearing, lip sync issues, etc.), but I still like it quite a lot. One thing that's annoying me is that a tutorial will pop up just once, and that's usually it. The devs put their own twist on a lot of conventional systems in this game and things aren't always super intuitive, so it'd be nice to have the option to review tips and tutorials in the menu somewhere. Still, it's part of the challenge, i guess.

LOL, dunno if i have ever seen a ripoff this blatant before. From the trailers it looks exactly like dark souls.

I loved the first Dark Souls, didn't like the sequel. I would like to give this game a shot, but i don't have a next gen system and it is doubtful my laptop will be able to handle this.

Pretty much almost all the reviews are mentioning Dark ouls but they're also giving the game some decent high praise. I'm glad to see this and even Shadow of Mordor doing well. Up next will be Dragons Age and if I weren't already on board for AC:Unity and Far Cry 4 I'd get it.

minimum system requirements list 6 GB of RAM. i have never seen a game with a minimum of 6GB. It doesn't look that demanding from the vids i have seen. Must be a poor port

Watch_Dogs.

Call of Duty Ghosts was 6gb on launch but patched to 4gb. Assassin's Creed: Unity, CoD: Advanced Warfare will require 6gb.

However, unlike the old days, most game devs do not lock their games to requirements anymore, and with SSDs these days (allowing faster swap files) it's tough to say you absolutely must have that much ram.

I will probably play this eventually, but from what I have read it sounds like it is Dark Souls in easy mode. And since I am playing Dark Souls now and don't find it to be nearly as hard as people make it out to be, that doesn't appeal to me much. It sure looks pretty, though.

Yeah, I couldn't imagine coming right off a DS game into this. You'd probably be super disappointed. The timing of this game's release was just perfect for me, though -- a few months after finishing DS2, and a few months before Bloodborne. I can do that.

Now that this is going to be discounted on the XO, what did people think of it? I loved Dark Souls.

This is what I thought of it. It was good, not great, and if you can get it cheap, then go for it.

Yeah I wondered if updates fixed any of the control issues and such.

Ah, can't help you there, sorry. Sold the game before any updates were released. That being said, I still think JTS a worthwhile game, bugs and all.

24 bucks on psn...I picked it up. I have wanted to play this for a while, and with Bloodborne still on the mind, I decided to pick it up...

I was one of the lucky ones who picked up the XO version in the few hours while it was on sale for $9 before they jacked the sale price back up. I haven't played it yet. I do need to check that game out.

I also got it for $9 on XB1. Actually started it a couple of days ago and it's...not great. It's enjoyable enough for the price I paid for it, I guess. To be honest I was expecting it to be more like Dark Souls from everything I'd heard. I guess if Dark Souls looked bad and played bad, yeah.

Yeah, $24 is still a little steep for this game, but if it scratches the itch, then go for it!

I am having fun..about 4 hours in. It is not mind blowing, but I don't regret the purchase at all yet. After Bloodborne, I just was craving something with some challenge. So far this game is on the easy side, but tough enough to keep me on my toes.

Just got my platinum on this and I had a blast.

Oh and a shout out to the rogue skill Shift...no one talks about it, but it lets you one shot bosses.

I tried this out since it was free and couldn't even get past the first boss.

What a joke. I promptly uninstalled it.

Glad I didn't pay for it.
