So Elsa is trying to kill or hurt one of the twins because she can sing better than her. Rich nutty people like the crazy clown. Meep is beat to death while in police custody but before they question him.

Now we know what happen to Vick.

I liked the episode but don't dig the 100 story lines they have going on. The stupid story lines are going to take time away from the good story lines. By the end of this season we'll probably have demons, aliens, mutants, vodoo, robots, and normal crazy people all running under the same tent.

I liked this episode minus the stuff with the weird mother and son. It was so obvious Meep was going to die once he was carted off to jail. The opening scene was well done and creepy.

So, two eps in and there's already been a Bowie and Fiona Apple cover performed. I dig it.

Love the freakshow setting, and Twisty is one creepy clown.
Can't wait until next week...!

So, what's with the extended length of these episodes? First was an hour and a half, this was and hour and 20. Now, I don't mind that, as long as they've got material to justify the running time. If they start running out of ideas and late in the season they have to throw in stuff like Nazis, aliens, the Black Dahlia, or Stevie Nicks, I'm gonna be pissed.

I think it's added commercial time. Way too many ads to hold my attention that late. Seems like 30-40 minutes of ads.

This seems to be the norm on popular FX's shows. This episode ran 54 minutes.

I'd happily accept another Black Dahlia. Her scenes with Alexandra Breckenridge were fantastic.

There is a old comic called The Maxx with these little creatures that say meep all the time. I kept thinking of them during this episode. The meep character looks nothing like them but his outfit had the same flare as something someone would wear in the other world of the comic book.

Michael Chiklis is the only thing keeping me around after this episode. If you don't fear clowns, this has become one of the least frightening shows on television.

When was the show ever "frightening"? It's mostly about being shocking, outrageous, and often silly. Pretty much what I would expect from a Ryan Murphy show that isn't Glee.

Loved the first season, enjoyed the second, found much to like in the third, but it dragged on too long. I've stopped watching in the middle of the new season's second episode. I'm afraid they've gone to the well to many times.

Re: American Horror Story: Freak Show (S4E02) -- "Massacres and Matinees" -- 10/15/14

This isn't the exciting, fast-paced soap-opera horror story that we got in season one and two. Season three had it's strong points (Danny Houston, the playful witchcraft).

In season four, I can appreciate the production design and attempt to slowly unfold a story.

Right now, the clown and rich kid plot line is the only thing I'm curious to see.

I feel like this could be the end.

It got renewed for a fifth season already. It's not the end. Not with those ratings and everything on FX flopping.

Okay. This could be the end of the show being "good" or "enjoyable".

I also hate-watched The Office for three seasons. And that terrible tacked-on season of Scrubs.

Nip/Tuck hung around long after it stopped being a good show.

Oooo yea. Nip/Tuck. I can remember the one season finale was awesome (where they worked on the mafia guy). And then episode one of the following season was ignored and I never cared to pay attention to the show ever again.
