South Park (S18E03) -- "The Cissy" -- 10/8/2014

Stan is searching for answers about how a person who he’s always known to be one thing could suddenly identify with another. In the meantime, the pressure of holding on to a giant secret is starting to get to Randy.

Episode 3 of 10

Stan's reaction to finding out Randy is Lorde.

All of the Lorde posters/pictures with the pixilated mustaches.

Pretty good, again.

They're really pushing inter-episode continuity, aren't they?

I'm liking the continuity. It sort of breathes new life into the show.

Transgender firestorms are some of the most entertaining, and I was really hoping this episode was going to set one off. Doesn't look like it pushed enough buttons though. Pity.

I'm loving the consistency. This is the type of rhythm that needs to be sustained now that we're limited to only 10 episodes per year.

That scene when Randy showed Stan how he becomes Lorde was hilarious. Stan fainting had me rolling.

Those Lorde posters with the censored mustache.

I like the addition of continuity, though I imagine it will make repeats less funny. I thought this one was better than last week's episode, though still rather average for South Park.

The first three episodes collectively have been better than last season as a whole, IMO. I thought Season 17 was really a sign that the show had lost its creative juices.

I don't imagine the repeats will be less funny due to the added continuity. I mean there is some stuff between episodes but not so much that if you missed an episode you'll be completely lost or anything.

Anyways this episode was pretty damn great. I think the season has overall been really strong thus far (the first episode was the weakest to me but still good) and I like the added continuity this year. Cartman in his personal bathroom whipping the toilet and telling it that it was going to take it had me going pretty good. Also Randy was great as usual and I too liked how obvious it was that he actually is Lorde and the mustache on the posters being badly photoshopped.

Randy is the best character on this show. Period.

I died at Butters in his room spinning in his tutu... just brilliant.
