The Bridge (S2E13) -- Series Finale? -- "Jubilex" -- 10/1/14
SEASON FINALE - Episode 13 / Production #213 - "Jubilex" (Airs October 1, 10:00 pm e/p) - Marco's loyalty is put to the ultimate test while Sonya attempts to tie up loose ends. Eleanor yearns for closure. Frye & Adriana land an insider source. Written by Elwood Reid; directed by John Dahl.
Episode 13 of 13
Unknown whether or not this will come back. Seems like this show got lost here even though it aired during the summer. The interest just seemed to drop like a rock. This show struggled in the ratings. But since Tyrant got renewed, maybe this will get a reprieve?

I hope you're right. To me, this is one of the best shows on right now. The writing, the acting, the characters--all top notch.

I watched the first 2 or 3 of this season...but really lost interest. Wasn't bad... just had too much going on and needed to cut some stuff.

This season has been ambitious, perhaps too ambitious. Complex storylines and sometimes difficult to follow with all that's going on. I still tune in every week though and have been impressed with how things have played out. I do understand why some viewers might be more engaged than others.

I watched, and enjoyed, the first season, but never returned for the second season. Still, I hope it's not done. The show is doing quality work.

Casting Diane Kruger in this kind of role was a mistake. I assume she pushed for it as she needed to transition to different types of roles as she ages.

Re: The Bridge (S2E13) -- Series Finale? -- "Jubilex" -- 10/1/14
Despite the fact that I've apparently seen her before, I didn't know her before this show. I don't have a problem with her here, though I don't like that they dropped her "condition" from the narrative. I'd have preferred either it was never there at all, or they kept it up. I do get how it'd be difficult to keep it up from a writing standpoint, as well as the acting.
While looking her up on IMDB, I noticed she did an episode of Fringe. Looking at her "personal" information on Wikipedia, it seems she dates Joshua Jackson (from Fringe).
I've watched every episode. I don't love it, but I do like it. My wife likes it. Part of what I like is it's an adult show. All the mains are older people. Even the guy I think of as younger (Matthew Lillard of Scream and Scooby Doo fame) is a grizzled vet reporter here. The show doesn't sit on the DVR for long.
On the down side, Fausto on the run is kind of boring and drawn out. Sometimes it feels like there's no strong overall story structure. For instance, if I look at the most recent season of "24", I'd say the story for the season was a terrorist used computers to commandeer drones to seek out revenge for a killed family member. Pretty much everything else that happened served that central narrative.
What's this season of The Bridge about? I'll bet it takes you more than a second or two to come up with an answer. Sure you can name a bunch of things that happened, but what's the central narrative those events are there to support in the story? I don't say that to bash the show, but just to point out why it may not be easily accessible for a show that has season-long arcs.
I hope it comes back. It can't be very expensive (relatively speaking) to make.

Very entertaining show. I hope it comes back although some of the episodes kind of dragged. What was the point of Sonya dating the brother of the guy? This show deserves a bigger audience. Maybe get it on Netflix if it isn't already.

I enjoyed it, but it just seems like everything was tied up so nicely. Got resolutions to pretty much all the plot points this year. I guess that was done because they weren't sure if it was coming back.

Solid ep. but yeah just a little too neat the way everything worked out. I guess them killing of Marcos' son last season had altered my expectations. The end--the very last scene--felt just a little off to me, but overall this was a very solid season & I hope the show comes back.

I enjoyed the season including the finale. And I wouldn't consider the story line with Eleanor complete should it get a third season. Like continuing the Fausto story this season, they could go deeper into Eleanor next season.

Enjoyed the season overall. At this junction they have addressed all the plot points in season two to my satisfaction. Even should this be it for The Bridge they didn't leave anything hanging.
The only thing left unresolved that I can think of is the abduction of Adriana's sister at the end of season one. It was mentioned in passing a few times during season two but there was no further development in that front. The whole "Girls of Juarez" mystery is probably big enough for a season arc. Maybe they can delve into it further if the show is given a chance to continue.

Finally got to watch it. It was a very good wrap up to the show, but is it just me or was Sonya kind of pointless in this season/show? She really didn't do anything interesting this season and really could have been left out of the show with no loss of anything. Her whole character just seems pointless. She isn't interesting at all. I hope it gets a 3rd season though. I really enjoy it.

Either I got lost this episode, or I lost interest this episode. Everything sorta just fizzled out. The middle of the season had more tension in it... Heck, the cowboy lawyer in the the leather shop with Eleanor had more tension. The house shoot-out was amazing. This last episode was just a let down.

Canceled by FX today. Just didn't have the ratings or buzz.

bummer. it got good ratings overseas, though. guess that isn't enough unless you have am Amazon deal along with those overseas ratings (Hannibal).

Damn. First Longmire & now this. At least it wrapped up most, if not all the story from both seasons. I can live without this but am hoping Longmire gets picked up somewhere.

The first season was great. Second season was really good as well, but, as someone mentioned, it seemed like they were scrambling to wrap up every loose end in the last couple episodes.
Along with Terriers, this is one of the best canceled shows I've seen.

I'm sad. I liked this show. I thought season 2 would be a dip in quality, but it wasn't. As DJariya said, it didn't have the buzz.

i am sad to see it go, but the final scene kinda summed it up well. no matter what seemed to happen everything essentially stayed the same on both sides of the border. the faces just changed.

Disappointed, but unfortunately I'm not surprised by their decision. At least they did resolve most of the major plot points at the end.
