Im going to Canada---Paradigm help?

Hi, please bear with me. Im planning on going to Montreal soon, and all ive heard about was the pricing on Paradigms. How exactly are they so inexpensive? I know that the Canadian dollar is worth about 66 cents now, does that have anything to do with it? What is the whole thing with the taxes? One more thing, I am looking to pick up a set of Monitor 9's and maybe a set of Mini Monitors for my rears. The price locally that I have been quoted is $750 and $399, respectively. How much can i expect to pay in Montreal? Im sorry this is so long, but could anyone help me? Thank you very much.
