My wife often has ID on in the background as she does other things, so I ended up watching the episode with Tracey Gold.

Aside from the "name" stars, it's not much different from the other "informative murderporn" shows the network airs.

One odd distinction was that the characters occasionally speak directly to the camera.

No, just a rip-off of the name, although that's only because the titles Deadly Affairs, Deadly Devotion, Deadly Sins, Deadly Women, Dangerous Persuasions, Fatal Encounters, Fatal Vows, Motives & Murders, Obsession: Dark Desires, Poisoned Passions, Pretty Dangerous, Pretty Bad Girls, Scorned: Love Kills, Sins and Secrets, and Wicked Attraction were already taken by existing ID shows.

I saw promos for this a couple of days back when I was watching ID. It looks a bit campy, I'll check out the next episode which features Jamie Luner, Rob Estes, and Jack Wagner which are all veterans of prime time and day time soaps. Nicole Eggert got some bad work done.

Doesn't sound great, but without even seeing a clip I still think I'd rather sit through a marathon of this versus watching one episode of Honey Boo Boo.

Holy crap! That must be a bad picture, or she's pregnant or something, because, while certainly aged, she was still pretty hot just a couple years ago. But then she is white, and what happens to many hot white chicks is that somewhere between 35 & 45, they suddenly age terribly in just a couple years.

Unfortunately not a bad picture. She was in a recent episode of Tattoo Nightmares and you wouldn't even recognize her. She obviously had surgery and fucked up her face and then add a few layers of fat all over. Sad.
