Early 90's Fox show

I've been trying to remember what this show was and can't do it. I was hoping to see if I can find something on youtube for it.

All I remember was it was about a Detective who talked to the camera like you were his partner and the viewer had to solve the crime with the detective. I remember one episode featuring a girl swimming in a pool who drowned after someone closed the mechanical pool cover on her.

Re: Early 90's Fox show

My first thought was Sledgehammer... but I don't recall if he talked to the camera. I know that he did talk to his gun. But I don't think that is the right show.

I googled 90's fox detective show and found this on the first page of results:

Last post at that page has a link that sounds like it's what you're describing.
