Holy shit, what a bastard!
As soon as Lester said "You know, I hate to do this..." I knew exactly what he was going to do.
Pretty tense scene with Malvo and Lou in the diner.
Glad to hear it's a 90 min finale. I can't get enough of this show.
Only mild qualm I had with this episode is that I would expect Lou has seen Molly's board of the crime investigation, at some point, and would probably have recognized Malvo from that.

Wow. This show has been so darned good. And here I was starting to realize that I was sympathizing with Lester too much. Not anymore.

That was a ridiculously tense episode. Between Lester looking for Malvo around every corner and the diner encounter, there was no let up at all. I knew what Lester was setting her up for, but I thought for a moment that it would end up with Malvo not being there, like at the house.
The finale should be great. Will Malvo or Molly (or neither) ultimately take down Lester? I can't wait to find out!

After last night's episode I think Lorne Malvo is becoming one of the best TV characters ever. Amazing performance by Billy Bob.

I'm not going to say that Malvo isn't complete psycho, but it seems like he's always been good at separating out the people he had a reason to hate with innocents. If you're his assignment, or you've pissed him off, or if you're a threat, he's a heartless bastard, but in other cases, he seems like he's pretty good at turning on the charm and acting like a nice guy. And even the innocent people that he threatens, he does it in a "polite" way.
So when he told the kids that their house was haunted by murder victims, that seemed a little out of character. I guess he's not able to keep his emotions in check anymore. Could that be his eventual downfall?

Malvo telling that family about the murders in the house was fucking hilarious.
I will agree, this was a super tense episode. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.

that's completely within his character. don't you remember him riling up that hotel clerk to go piss in the mom's car and then he calls the mom to tell her that he's doing it? he seemed to love doing stuff like that to people, enjoying watching other people's misery.

Yeah, that just seems to be how he entertains himself. Similar to his briefcase full of blues.

I thought he did that because the hotel workers were bickering about bedsheets. tossing some fire onto an argument that was already in place seems a little different than just blurting out to two children that their house is haunted.

What a great episode.
I'm really starting to wonder how an all-new season with new characters would work.
Billy Bob is so good as Malvo.
