Not really looking forward to a whole episode of Jon and Sam.

I agree. This and Dany's storyline have been so underwhelming to me.

I sort of agree. I don't mind Jon and Sam, I just don't really care much about the goings on at the wall.

I've learned from previous seasons that Episode 9 is the only one worth watching...looking forward to it!

Honestly I know that has been what has happened in the past, but I feel this season had big moments through out the season, and if they handle this right, make this season the best.

Hoping this one delivers the goods visually. Not expecting everything from the book, but wanting something along the lines of Blackwater.

I'm not sure a full episode devoted to one story thread is a great idea either...but we'll see how it plays.

Same for me.. though I don't care as much for Jon and Sam in addition. I like the more secret dealings and political maneuvering going on with other characters.. The stuff at the wall was always blah to read, for the most part. I found myself wanting to skip chapters that took place there.. though I didn't and trudged through them.

Can't wait. This should be good. I am rooting for Jon Snow and Sam. I want to see more of Ghost as well.

Ghost and Summer are really the only direwolves still in commission (Shaggy Dog is off with Rickon and Nymeria is a book spoiler). It would be nice if the show actually used Ghost tonight.

A couple good scenes.. But otherwise episode was a snoozer. I get the wall's important, but its just uninteresting to read and now watch. It's about as boring as the stalemate going on with Dany. There are better story arcs out there to devote time to.

Yeah, totally boring....if you're not into the wall stuff, but I am.

Neil Marshall knows how to get it done. Glad we got to see the mammoths and Mags the Mighty.

Re: Game of Thrones -- "The Watchers on the Wall" -- 6/8/14

It was very well shot. However, it hit me about 15 minutes in that I didn't care enough about anyone in the episode to devote the WHOLE thing to them. Hence, I thought it was kind of dull.

Excellent trailer for next week though.

This is why I'm so disappointed.
