Nice to see they'll be separate. I bought the 4K version already, but may offload it to get the set. Depends on reviews of the extras. Would be nice to see a Ramis tribute on there somewhere.

So is it two digibooks that are included in the collectors edition or just two regular blu's?

About damn time we get Ghostbusters 2. I have the first release (the non 4K one) already, but may get the digibook set depending on the price.

re: Ghostbusters 1 & 2: Anniversary Editions - 9/16/14 (and again on 6/11/19!)

This is the first time any deleted footage from Ghostbusters II will be released on home video. There's been publicity stills and there's a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff on YouTube, but there was quite a bit cut from the theatrical version (including all of Eugene Levy's role).

It also doesn't sound like the "Stake" deleted scene from the first film will be included - again (it's only present on the Criterion LD), and neither will the "Fort Detmerring" scene or the bit where Louis runs in to some tough gangbangers after getting possessed.

I'm excited for the GB2 deleted scenes more than anything else, but it's odd they couldn't also include Run DMC's "Ghostbusters" music video. Honestly, there's a laundry list of things that they could've included (here is a comprehensive list, but in 2014 and the state of the home video market I'm grateful for even this.

Poor Ernie Hudson. Bill Murray is too pretentious to do something cool like the roundtable discussion but Hudson is probably dying to be asked to do it.

I heard that all pan and scan transfers of Ghostbusters were taken off the market because Ernie Hudson was cropped out of most of the shots, and being the only black cast member it was perceived as racist.

Wish they'd include the Ray Parker Jr. video, though I have a promo VHS tape with it.

Glad to see it has the Mi4K version of the first film since I didn't get to pick it up! This will be the first Mi4K release with special features, right?

The original is one of my favorite movies of all time so I'm in. I always thought the sequel was not funny, so I have no interest in that.

He did an appearance at a local Drive-In a few weeks back. They had him pose with a replica Ghostbusters car. So, yeah. He'd do it.
