How to find a local store to get rid of DVDs?
I need the space and have tons of DVDs and HD-DVD and BDs that I want to get rid of. I just want to go somewhere and dump them. More for the space than anything else, any money would be a bonus. Other than the phonebook, anywhere online to help find good local stores? I'm in Las Vegas, NV. Thanks!

You could try stores that sell used books, CDs, and DVDs. I have a few around me, but they're really selective in what they'll buy, and you won't get a lot for them.
If you're unable to sell them to a dealer, you could try to donate them to a local library or some kind of Goodwill type of store. You won't get any money back, but if you're just looking to get rid of them and don't want to throw them in the trash, that's an option.

Well, you know, I won't say no to cash And there's about 400-500. Even at a quarter each (and some are sealed BD) that's a hundred bucks.

The pawn shop near my house pays 50 cents a title, and will buy anything that isn't scratched, so you may try a pawn shop.

Took 2 seconds doing a google search and it's in your neck of the woods.
Your buying spree is finally biting you in the ass huh? Should have learned a lesson from that Alan Smithee thread.

It would be worth your time to type in the titles of all the movies, and then post them on Craigslist for $250. How often do you earn $250 in for an hour of work?

See, I don't get why anyone would buy a random set of movies, do they then take the time to price them out individually and hope they make more money than they spent?

If you're hurting for closet, room space & want cash now, just put all the movies in a box and drive to that store I posted in that link.
The stuff you can't sell, just take them to a local library and get a tax receipt. At least you will get a write off. It's a shame you need to dump new and unopened stuff, but I guess you're realizing you have more product than you can realistically watch.

The stuff I want to get rid of is from over a decade ago and mostly DVDs. At least a decade.
I never get tax writeoffs because I never make enough money to make it matter
HD-DVD was still alive and doing well.
