Meh show.

I hope the Netflix shows rock better than this. Extremely hopeful for Agent Carter... But it's ABC again.

The mind-blowing saga that began in Marvel's The Avengers continues in ABC's action-packed series, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - The Complete First Season. Hope there's a Joss Whedon commentary on the pilot.

If I can get this for a good price (under $40), I'll bite. I only watched the first four episodes before giving up, but now that it's coming back for Season 2, I'd like to catch up.

I might pick this up at some point. Not in too big of a hurry though unless the price is low.

Given the prices of the movies I can't imagine this'll be cheap.

ABC TV titles often do drop in price, but there is no guarantee that this will follow suit.

The Season 1 BD set will be minimum $30-35 release week. It's a new release Marvel TV series with 22 hours of content plus extras. You're not going to get any 5 finger discounts anytime soon.

I think they might price this one very aggressively to grow the viewing audience, they know a certain percentage of people missed it on television.

That image reminds of me of the various posters for the X-Men movies.

Anyway, I don't normally pick up a lot of TV shows but I might grab this given how good it was and the way it ties in to the MCU.

You understand that "Five Finger Discount" means shoplifting, right?

No, I seriously didn't know it was slang for stealing. Always thought it meant going out of business, holiday type discounts.

Will definitely pick this up through the Disney Movie Club. Have gotten other shows like Once Upon a Time there for around $17 a season on blu-ray.

Really? Five finger discount = grab it with your five fingers and take it out of the store without paying for it.

"Cello Duet"
Just so happened to have re-watched Avengers earlier and caught the cello remark. Can't believe I didn't notice it earlier

That's what I'm thinking too. It probably won't be really cheap but I could see this being around $25-30 during release week to try and rope in some Marvel fans who either didn't watch the show because they heard it was just so-so or who missed it for some other reason.

I really hope you don't use that expression a lot; your friends, family, and co-workers will think you're a habitual shoplifter.

This is a high-enough profile release of something tied to a big movie franchise that I doubt the price will be going down anytime soon. The price of the Marvel movies STILL hasn't come down.

I enjoyed watching it but I can't imagine ever sitting down and rewatching it, especially the first half of the season, ugh...

I'm still buying the set just for the Lorelei episode alone.
I actually started watching it again at that episode. It didn't help that she had very cheap low level goons lol.

Honestly, I think the show would fare better without the two tech geeks and Skye. They're so bad. I actually liked May, Coulson, and Ward (to some degree).

Also while I didn't like Paxton's character motivations in the end... He rocked the living hell out of it. Hearing a thing said by one in belief is wildly different when it is said out of Paxton scene chewing delivery. They had different attitudes about their system but Paxton saying that one line in his attitude was awesome.

The thing is though this series really isn't on the level of any of the films yet. A lot of people didn't watch it after the start of the series was fairly lackluster or some just weren't that interested. I heard that it started building momentum a bit more towards the end of the first season but I wouldn't be surprised if the Blu-ray release is priced low enough that people may blind buy it.

Given that they've teamed up for that big streaming deal, I wonder if this'll show up on Netflix? Also wonder if they'll ever rerelease Phase One with UV copies, but that's another topic .
