Man, Hurricane Jasmine Forsythe jacked up everything.
And I hated that whole Todd BErry story. I wanted it to end so fast. I just hate hearing him on this show.
Overall, I'm really liking the story between him and Amia. I'm just waiting for something bad to happen.

Yeah, the Todd Barry thing ate up way too much screen time.
I think something bad already happened with Louie and Amia. He just doesn't know what it is...

I liked both the episodes tonight again. I didn't expect the revelation that he had a failed marriage before Janet. The first episode seemed to really fly by to me. His relationship with Amia is entertaining so far but it does seem like he cares more than she does and I kind of don't think he'll talk her into sticking around. I guess I didn't mind Todd's story but it was a bit long.

Yes, that was Janet. Hence the line at the end about "what if you just got pregnant right now?" The big tip-off was the shared cigarette.

So they go to great lengths to find someone who looks and sounds just like a young Louie, but they can't bothered with even coming close to doing the same with Janet? And they can't even make it so he can at least say her name to rule out confusion? Seriously, sometimes this show goes from flat-out brilliant to borderline retarded that it makes my head spin.

The problem isn't so much the casting, as it is the show's obliviousness to rational logic. Which sometimes works in the show's favor, other times, not so much.

The show does have a surreal quality to it anyways, i don't think Louie concerns itself too much with logic.
And I thought it was obvious that it was Janet.

Didn't they do the same thing in the first season or so? I thought he had a white ex-wife in one of the early episodes?

As Groucho mentioned, the cigarette sharing was the connector. I thought at first it was another wife, until he passed the cigarette to her. Then I laughed once I realized it was Janet and that she was white. It was just another reason why I like this show so much, these silly inconsistencies he does intentionally.

I took it as him trying to say something that would possibly get a rise out of Amia if she understood what he was saying. It seemed like a test as to whether or not she understands English. I might be wrong about that though.

Two more great episodes. Blah blah blah.
Funniest part was Grodin's face when Louie asked for the Jackie Gleason story.
I'm always in awe of all the uncut single shots.

I love this show so much I can't think of anything to post that won't come off as imebecilic gushing.
Putting two episodes together is the smartest move for this show, each week's viewing has been tremendously satisfying. I feel like I'm getting something complete.
I wish someone would translate what she said to Norton in the comedy club.
