Yeah, looks like they're going to make Lockheart/Gardner (which now has neither Lockheart nor Gardner in it) the Big-Bad for next season, headed by Canning and Lee, who make great adversaries.

Alisha wanting to merge with lockhart gardner makes no sense

It makes sense on the business side... because Alisha's firm is barely getting by. But I kinda like the idea of bring in Diane (and her 38 mil in business). =)

I wonder if the show would work better if Alicia was with the firm, or if she became the State's Attorney.

Yeah, a lot going down in that episode. It took me a while, but I figured out what Diane and Eli were going to say just before they said it. Can't imagine the state attorney thing working considering the nepotism, though.
The open camera stuff was pretty amusing.

That was my initial thought, but my other thought was Eli was processing all that and still coming to the conclusion that it made sense. It's not a political appointment and I don't believe the Cook County States Attorney reports to the Governor. If Eli said it, I assume it's possible.

Great season finale.
I'm still not quite sure why Cary was so incensed with Kalinda. These two kept playing with each other and extracting intel for their respective firms, I guess I didn't see that he took their relationship more seriously. At least we got to see him be the dominant one for once in bed.
It definitely was after the entire NSA/surveillance arc that played throughout the season.
I'm curious what Diane's reaction will be to Alicia being urged to run for state atty. If Alicia does run, I'm betting the TGW writers will bring up that racist bit of hers and tie it up with the Donald Sterling case somehow. Their ripped from the headlines track record is excellent.
This and Hannibal are making good cases that the high caliber dramas aren't dead in broadcast OTA tv.
Their BEST season ever. Solid A.

Sad news. Christine Baranski's husband Matthew Cowles died tonight at the age of 69. They were married for 30 years.
