another very strong episode. Loved the Chief's reaction when he finally realized all the evidence against Nygard was overwhelming. First thing I have actually liked that Colin Hanks has done as well.

Yeah, I agree about Colin Hanks. I really disliked his character in Dexter, but I'm liking him in this.

What made her open up the back of the washer? And why didn't she find the hammer there?

I don't know. Wasn't he mumbling something when in the cell and taken to the hospital?

The big reveal this episode was the source of Malvo's animosity toward canines.

In the ambulance he first mumbles "It's towel sounds. She's washing towels".
Though Molly ignores it immediately and just asks about his hand.

The only thing I can think of is that when she shines the flashlight on the washing machine, it seems to be out of place - further away from the dryer than it normally would be and further out from the wall and crooked. The position made it look like it was moved. Maybe that made her remember Lester's comment and gave her a reason to look?

Billy Bob is so creepy in this. The scene with the neibor at the end was phenomenal.

The washer looked definitely askew on the floor, out of place and worth a look. Molly is smart enough to investigate further at that point. I'm just surprised she hasn't noticed the blood splatter on the poster on the wall from the hammer. Also, I think Lester moved the hammer out the washer to another hiding place unknown to us for the time being.

Anyone notice Nygaard spelled backward is draagyn and our friend, Lester, played by Martin Freeman is currently playing opposite another dragon, Smaug.

I don't know, I thought "Band of Brothers" was pretty good.

Molly had better be careful. She's doing as much to ruin the case against Lester as build it. She questioned him in the ambulance withour reading him his rights, then she entered and searched his house without a warrant. If anybody finds out about that last part it pretty much precludes them from using any evidence they find in the house in the future because a defense lawyer could effectively argue she planted or tampered with evidence.

I'm starting to get the feeling that Molly is gonna screw up the investigation and end up taking out vigilante justice on Lester...only to end up in jail herself.

Why do you think she hasn't noticed, or what is it about the splatter that she's supposed to notice? Have they said anything to indicate they don't realize she was beaten with a hammer?

Isn't that blood from when Lester ran head first into the wall to knock himself out?

Yes it is. I think what he's alluding to is that Molly has seen the blood on the poster but assumed it's from the hammer bludgeoning.

Re: Fargo -- "The Six Ungraspables" -- 5/13/14

The blood on the poster/wall IS from the hammer bludgeoning. As Lester's hammering away, they specifically show the blood spatter on the poster/wall. It didn't look like Lester drew any blood - just a nasty bump.

However, I think Lester created a big blood smudge in the middle of the poster over the red fish when he did the head slam. It wasn't there right after the bludgeoning, but we see it when Molly first shows up at the scene to find Lester knocked out, and in the latest episode when she re-visits the crime scene. Don't know if Molly noticed/questioned it, or if it would even prove anything.

Re: Fargo -- "The Six Ungraspables" -- 5/13/14

Yes, what Coral wrote.

I can't remember if we've heard what Lester told the police, regarding how he ended up unconscious on the floor. The 'killer' slamming his head into the wall would explain the extra smudge. Although looking at it again, nothing really makes sense for there to be a large smudge like that, as Lester would've had to have blood on his head before being slammed in order to make that mark.

Yea, that's the problem I had with it. Either the blood came from Lester when he slammed his head, or it was just his head smudging the blood that was already there. In both cases Lester would had to have some blood on his head, either his own (due to a cut) or his wifes - but he had no blood.

Did we get a look at Lester after hitting the wall? I thought the first shot of him was in the hospital, where he likely would have been cleaned up already.

Yes. When Molly goes down into the basement, she checks for a pulse on both of them. When she checks Lester, you get almost a 3/4 angle look at his face.
