Awesome 1st episode last night.
Anyone else watching both of these shows besides me? Or are most of you massively backed up and this isn't a must see show? Or is this just a show that you rarely have anything to say? I absolutely love how they keep tying in these two shows together.
Both PD and Fire are consistently solid each week. I'm surprised there aren't more eyes on it here.

I watch PD, never really cared for Fire.
The writers must not have checked a map before writing this episode. Kankakee is about 60 miles south of Chicago. A little out of CDP's jurisdiction and out of the way for the Chicago Fire Department.

I also watch PD but gave up on Fire after a few episodes. I did, however, record Fire last night knowing it's a 2-part crossover event.

Will I be lost if I only watch PD (as it seems quite a few others do as well...)? Didn't know it was a cross-over.

Just watch Fire on NBC on demand or NBC.com if you didn't record it.

Finished the PD episode earlier today.
Good 2 episode arc, but fairly predictable ending. You could see it coming from a mile away the 2nd young girl who suffered the brain injury & died would be donating her liver to Burgess' niece.
What a waste of Jay Karnes as the FBI agent. I was hoping there would be a little more tension with him and Voight, but there wasn't at all.
at that final attempt at a love scene with Erin and Severide. Very awkward. Felt very forced and uncomfortable.

I had to laugh during fire when they need every available person with medical training and the paramedics keep wandering off doing personal stuff
