Unburned/blank discs or bad player?
I've recently come across three blu-ray discs that can't be read by my player: two copies of Goodfellas and one of A History of Violence. All three discs appear to be unburned, but then I have others that look the same but still play.
One of the Goodfellas is from the Digibook package, and the second was bought much more recently as a steelbook from Best Buy to replace the first copy I though was defective.
My player spits the discs out after about 2 minutes of trying to read their contents. I did a search via Google but couldn't find anything relevant, nor did I find anything on here via search.
Thanks for any insight!

I have had this happen with DVDs. Particularly TV shows from FOX. One of the discs in the set wouldn't have any data on it. Never heard of it with a BD though.

Do you have access to another player? I'd try that first. Some other things to try are: clearing your storage, making sure you have a memory card/stick installed, and check your internet connection and change it between on/off. These are some things that have helped problem discs in the past. Good luck!

You could try a firmware upgrade as well.
So far I have had only one disc, Basic Instinct, that didn't play even with the latest firmware.
I did read that Lion's Gate had a few manufacturing issues at the time this title was released.

Store-bought discs are pressed, not burned. The only legit 'burned' discs you'll ever get are mail-order stuff from Warner Archive and the like.
