They're all on cable now, The Game and Real Husbands of Hollywood (Kevin Hart's show) come to mind. TBS has a lot of House of Payne episodes (254 to be exact, its 62 episode final season put it over the top). Cee Lo's new Goodie Mob show is a reality show so that doesn't count. Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse moved to Oprah's OWN network.

Kevin Hart had about 5 lines spread across a couple "Modern Family" episodes.

Ed O'Neill had the same 5 lines in 5 minutes on Kevin Hart's show.

Doesn't Tyler Perry usually have some sort of shitty, unfunny series on tv?

Poor Kevin Hart. He's not had any exposure on tv in the last year.

What do you mean they aren't high profile? The Game is the highest rated cable sitcom with an all African American cast.

There's The Soul Man on TV Land. Of course it's as white as black comedies get, but still.

The First Family and Mr. Box Office were both on in syndication until very recently, but I think they are done now.

Those shows are only low-profile in white households. In black households you'd be surprised the kind of ratings they get.

Re: Are there any current 'BLACK' Sitcoms on at the moment ?

in recent years house of payne and everybody hate chris were actually funny and entertaining

i catch the game sometimes, it hasnt really been good since it returned after it was cancelled

i dont think there are any black sitcoms on network tv currently (other than older syndicated shows)

the newer ones that ive seen on cable are pretty wack, but its cable so they may survive a bit longer

Re: Are there any current 'BLACK' Sitcoms on at the moment ?

The first season of real husbands of hollywood was really great. They changed up the format for season 2 and I didn't like it as much, but I'll definitely check out season 3.

And I'm getting sick of how overexposed kevin hart is getting, but the show is definitely worth watching.
