Dallas - "D.T.R." - 3/24/14
The honeymoon is over for John Ross, as Bobby and Sue Ellen try to use the Governor (guest star Steven Weber) to stop John Ross from becoming just like his father, J.R.... a move that could divide the family forever. Meanwhile, Christopher discovers surprising details about Heather's (guest star AnnaLynne McCord) past; Cliff (guest star Ken Kercheval) persuades Elena to try a new tact in her quest for justice; and Judith, Ryland (guest star Judith Light) and Ann try, with varying degrees of success, to get Emma under control.

I think the series has been significantly better focused this season. I thought the loss of Larry Hagman would really hurt the show, but the fact was they spent so much of last year trying to work his final scenes into the story, the fact that they don't have to worry about that anymore has really freed them up. This is actually the best of the three seasons we've seen.

Are they still using the Dallas veterans or phasing them out?

Yep, as the above poster said, Bobby and Sue Ellen are still very much main characters in the show. Cliff is a recurring character, while characters like Ray, Lucy and Afton have little more than cameos when they're on (for some reason, Ray and Lucy only show up for weddings and BBQs, are always next to each other, and usually only have one line of dialogue each. ).
Josh Henderson is the real star of the show now, and he's great. He's turned into a really good actor over the past several seasons.

Awesome episode tonight.
Loved Bobby getting the railroad commissioner job and screwing over John Ross. Loved his angry phonecall to Sue Ellen.
And Good God, Emma is one stupid bitch. She really thinks her "relationship" with John Ross is more than just casual sex?
I've hated Judith Light's acting on this show, but I loved Grandma's conversation with Emma to try to knock some sense into her.
