Twilight Time: $10 Off 36 Titles,Starts 3/19/14 4pm EST to 3/24/14 4pm EST
Received an email from Screen Archives Entertainment:
A SPECIAL EVENT FOR TWILIGHT TIME'S THIRD BIRTHDAY ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 19TH AT 4 P.M. EASTERN!
It seems like only yesterday, but incredibly, Twilight Time turns 3 years old this month, and to celebrate we are doing something we’ve never done before which is to offer a special price-promotion on 36 of our Blu-ray titles (one for each month we’ve been in operation!) This promotion will last for exactly 5 days - it will begin with the April pre-orders on Wednesday, March 19th at 4 pm EST, and will run to Monday, March 24th at 4 pm EST. The promotion will be exclusive to SAE’s website at www.screenarchives.com - this is a way to thank you, our intrepid aficionados, for all your support these 3 amazing years, and to give many of you a chance to catch up on titles you may have wanted but put on the back burner, and also to encourage new devotees to try some of our more esoteric back-catalogue items. And thank you again for your patience while the March titles have been delayed.
Over the course of these 36 months we have climbed a very steep learning curve, and that process continues apace. We’ll continue to refine what we do and adjust to the constantly changing demands of the home entertainment business. And believe it or not, we hear what you tell us, and we’ll always try our best to adapt (take that, eco cases!!)
Also on Wednesday, March 19th at 4 pm EST when the April pre-orders go live, we will have approximately 150 copies of THE FRONT signed by the lovely Miss Andrea Marcovicci, which will be available for the usual $100 or more of TT product - but this month your $100 will go a lot further if you wish to take advantage of the price-promotion gang of 36 - all of which are listed below. SAE suggests that for those of you wishing to take part in the promotion and also inclined to obtain a signed copy of THE FRONT, use the list below to pre-load your shopping cart so you’ll be able to proceed directly to the autographed copy icon.
Once again, this promotion is for 5 DAYS ONLY - so get ready to start your engines - (PLEASE NOTE: all titles in the promotion will be discounted by $10 - which means those that ordinarily retail for $29.95 will be $19.95, and those that are $34.95 will be $24.95.)
5 DAYS ONLY - $10 OFF THE REGULAR PRICE - HERE IS THE GANG OF 36!
Note: spoilerized for length
And not to be left out - we still have 4 of the 9 titles we released on DVD in stock - and for this 5 day event, each will be $9.95
THE KREMLIN LETTER (1970)
VIOLENT SATURDAY (1955)
WOMAN OBSESSED (1959)
MY COUSIN RACHEL (1952)

Thanks for this. I'm glad it doesn't include the two Harryhausen Sinbad movies, since I just recently bought those.

Good deal. Looks like they are trying to move the older titles that haven't been to sell 3000 copies in over a year.

Have always stayed off SA owing to those prices - even with $19.95, its a stretch am sure for some of us, 'not so rich' collectors. With Sales tax and S/H, it will still all add up. But there are some that are tempting...thanks again OP

I guess this is the list of their poorer selling BDs. Some don't surprise me, either the movie has very limited appeal in today's market or the transfer looks poor.
Sleepless in Seattle is one of those movies that everyone bought on DVD and only might pick up the Blu-ray if it got priced at $5.

I was always surprised Steel Magnolias didn't sell out. It seems like one of those movies with a following.

I'll definitely pick up Lost Horizon and Nicholas and Alexandra. Both films have significant flaws, yet I enjoy them. I already own the Fox DVD of Titus or I would get that too. Titus is an amazing production that elevates one of Shakespeare's least regarded plays to to a masterpiece.

ok... I've always boycotted Twilight Time, but I might just have to pick up the Flint movies for that price.

Don't forget gay men. My gay friends love the movie. And they are part of the demo for online sales. I think it's probably just not a big enough company for most to know or care about.

There's a reason they can only sell out of stuff like Fright Night, Night of the Living Dead, Christine, and Sinbad.

I couldn't recommend it, not unless you're a hardcore sci-fi/horror fan or a Bruce Campbell fanatic. I'm a little of both which is why I bought it. It wasn't terrible in the traditional sense of the word; I was entertained. But mind you, I've watched many MST3K movies so I have a different sense of the term "terrible" or "the worst movie I've ever seen" than most.
For this sale, I went for:
THE FRONT (promo)
USED CARS (full price)
BRING ME THE HEAD OF ALFREDO GARCIA (full price)
STEEL MAGNOLIAS
THE OTHER

Re: Twilight Time: $10 Off 36 Titles,Starts 3/19/14 4pm EST to 3/24/14 4pm EST
My business with Screenarchives is done even before they delivered their first order. Ordered 7 titles on Wednesday Mar 18th for a grand total of $150 including S/H. Noticed in the order confirmation that the free copy of ‘The Front’ had not been included. Emailed them about it. Received a response two days later that said ‘We are all out of the autographed copies. Do you want to cancel the order ?’ I responded saying its alright if they don’t have an autographed copy and asked if they could include a non autographed copy. Came the response email ‘We cannot add an item to the order. Do you want to cancel the order ?’. I responded again stating many retailers can create a zero dollar order as a complimentary order and/or as a customer good will order and that it did not have to be included in the same order. Came the response ‘We cannot do that. Do you want to cancel the order ?’. I said Go ahead and cancel the order. And came the response ‘We have canceled your order’. I cannot imagine doing business with a company NOT wanting to make $150 by NOT wanting to make an exception and one that emphasizes on Order canceling as the best recourse as seen from all of those emails.
