Banshee - Season Finale - "Bullets and Tears" - 3/14/14

Fueled by painful memories that led them to the point of no return, Lucas and Carrie steel themselves for the fight of their lives against a vengeful Rabbit and his ruthless soldiers. In Banshee, Rebecca (Lili Simmons) proves her allegiance as Proctor returns home.
Season finale. Banshee will return for a 3rd season.

Oh dear lord. My predicition: Brock, Siobhan and Rebecca bite the bullet. It's gotta be something to keep Hood in that town.

Yeah I really hope they don't kill off Rebecca, she's probably my favorite female character.

My money is on Rabbit, his brother, Gordon, and somebody in the proctor storyline(non Rebecca).

Longshadow will die and next season will be his sister seeking revenge. No way they kill off Rebecca after just barely touching on all the incestuous stuff. That's going to get much weirder next season.

I think Siobhan was a lock to die the moment she slept with Hood. They can't possibly drag out the Rabbit storyline a third season so he's probably done. For the third, b/c of the scene in the jail last week, I'll go with Sugar.

I thought it was a great episode. Not many shows allow me to just shut off my brain and enjoy it but this one does.

Re: Banshee - Season Finale - "Bullets and Tears" - 3/14/14

That last 10 minutes was fucking nuts.

So the body count was as follows (spoilering it for those who didn't have time to watch it tonight)

Spoiler:
Alex Longshadow
Rabbit
The Priest aka Rabbit's brother
Emmett
& his wife

Dino's comment above ^^^ I think is on the money. I'm willing to bet that Odette Annable will be back next season probably as a series regular.

I would say that one of those characters death will be pretty personal for Lucas when the show comes back next year.

That last scene with Proctor and Rebecca was really uncomfortable to watch. I was getting worried that she was going to kneel down and give him a BJ.

I watched the last 2 episodes back to back tonight and that was some of the most intense TV the show has put out. Looking forward to what is in store in 2015.

BTW, I tweeted a little during the episode and Antony Starr (Lucas) actually responded back to me. Very cool of him.

Job was decidedly under-dressed when he stormed the church guns ablazing.

That was a very bad ass episode. I really liked how they added in the flashbacks in order to give context to some of what happened in this episode. Especially since the only way to get some of that info was to read the Banshee origins comic book.

Bad ass shoot out in the church. On another note, was I the only one who legitimately thought that Hood might be killed off for a minute? Glad to see Rebecca stay alive but yikes her and Proctor at the end was creepy.

They addressed it at the beginning of the season but I honestly don't remember what happened.

Raccine more or less buried it because it was going to bring too much attention to Banshee and thus interfere with his Rabbit addiction. It has been so long ago I don't recall if there was more to it.

I loved the finale. I love this show because I can just zone out and enjoy.

Loved that they finally tied up a few things and left incredible storylines for next season.

Good finale, but everything at the end just seemed rushed. They could have almost made this into 2 episodes.

After watching the opening credits, I thought for sure that Carrie was going to die. She usually blinks in the photo, but this time she shut her eyes and they didn't open. Maybe it was to signify that their relationship is over for good, but I thought she was going to eat that bullet she left for Rabbit.

Yeah I though Rabbit might use the bullet to shoot Anna or Hood

Re: Banshee - Season Finale - "Bullets and Tears" - 3/14/14

That scene where Job was in the dance club was fantastic. Nice little call back to him owning a hair salon.

The assault on the church was pretty badass. Reminded me of a Strike Back scene. Loved seeing Job roll in a the last second mowing all those guys down. Speaking of Strike Back, anyone see the billboard in the background as Hood and Carrie were driving out of NYC? Nice product placement there.

Holy shit. Poor Emmett. Neither he nor his wife deserved to go out like that.

Not surprised Longshadow is gone. Surprised that Rebecca was the one who did, it though.

So, next season do we get the white supremacy group as the bad guys along with the huge ass Native American dude?

Anyone hoping for a crossover between Strikeback and 'soldierboy'?

Agreed. Also, how many shows have Nazis/white supremacists?

Very solid finale and season, overall. And I'm looking forward to Cheystone as a super villain.

Can anyone please tell me who sang that montage song? The episode was incredible and that tune was perfect. Thanks!

Just found it for you. "This Night" by Black Lab.

It looks like it was also used in a promo for The Shield.

Re: Banshee - Season Finale - "Bullets and Tears" - 3/14/14

Finally caught up to the 2nd Season On-Demand, and this show is so underrated. There are so many storylines they have going on with each characters, it really keeps the show compelling. Its rare that a season finale sets up SO many things for the next season like the last 10 minutes did, but there is alot to look forward to next year.

I am hoping this show starts getting some critical acclaim, but probably cause its has its fair amount of Skinemax scenes, many reviewers will look down on it and it will get overlooked.
