Good going, Julia.
I didn't see how they were going to get Sarah back with Hank given the alternative opportunity (Carl) she had placed in front of her was so appealing, but I thought they got there realistically. Carl's at a place where he has his life together and he's ready to move romantically. Sarah is just getting her life together, and in some ways, so is Hank. They're kind of growing together (as in simultaneously) in different ways.
The story will play out how it plays out. I root for Hank and Sarah (to find peace, if not ever after). Carl has enough going for him that he doesn't need my rooting interest.
It would have been nice to see Drew at least check up on Amy before moving on (back) to the other girl. I'll grant that it may not have made sense dramatically.
I think the daughter Adam and Kristina (and Max) no longer talk about is due to make a reappearance this season. Speaking of not talked about, exactly who was watching the baby when Adam and Kristina went to visit the teacher? That baby is often invisible. I don't really remember seeing Crosby and Jasmine's new baby either.

Yeah, they sometimes "save" on the minor characters.
I just want to say that Ray Romano has been great in this show. I've never been a fan of him, previous to this show, not that I thought he was a bad actor, he just wasn't my type. But in this show he has been great. The writers, of course, have done a great job developing his character.
About Julia, I think she makes a better couple with the fat guy. There's more chemistry between her and that friend. She and Joel are more alike, both too strong, and it seems that Joel has always resented that period when he was at home. Fatty seems would be a great work at home dad.
