I got a new 3ds XL about a month ago. Today I used it and snapped the console closed. Later on when I went to play I noticed black blotches and a portion of the screen is just white. Should I just rebox it and try and exchange it at target where I bought it or send it in for repair? Does anyone know how much it cost to replace top screen? And who might doit for.the best price?

It says cracked screens aren't covered by warranty, but you may want to call then and see if you can get it fixed for free.

Thanks will do. However it's not scratched. Just black blotches and a portion on the lower left side is just white. They open at 10 AM eastern time I will call them.

Well what's Target's return deadline policy? Just return it to them if you're in the window.

Yeah, you should have 90 days at Target. But you might want to choose your words carefully with them. If they think it was damaged from use, they probably won't return it and will tell you to try through Nintendo.

Yeah I bought in January and still have box and everything and bought it with the target cc. I'm gonna tell them it was a gift and it came like that outta the box.

Ok Target said they would exchange it. Now how should I go about saving my game saves? I'm guessing I need to do a factory reset to erase my eshop payment info. When I set up the new one would I have to re purchase things I bought on the eshop?
