Any way to flatten out near-punctures in cover art?
I have a handful of blu-rays that, due to the damn eco-cases the studios insist on using, have creases and near-puncture bumps on the cover art. I've tried putting the art under heavy books to flatten it out, but that hasn't worked. Does anyone have any ideas?

Re: Any way to flatten out near-punctures in cover art?
I did an internet search but the only thing I wound was a blu-ray.com thread from two years ago. A guy in that thread said he puts the cover on a hard flat surface, puts a piece of paper over it, then runs a ruler over the bumps to flatten them out. I couldn't find a ruler, so i tried a credit card, but that didn't seem to work. I'll pick up a ruler tomorrow and try that.

You could try a warm (cool enough to touch, but warm to the touch), iron or lay it flat under several heavy books for a few days. Both of these would be bump side up.

Yeah, I was going to suggest dry-ironing it through a thin towel.

I thought I'd give an update: I tried the iron method and, while the bumps weren't eliminated completely, they were smoothed out enough to where they weren't all that noticeable. Thanks for the input everyone.
