Watched the sneak peak on HBOGo last night as I rewatch Game of Thrones. This is easily my fav show right now and this episode looks amazing. I think some more light will be shed on who Rust suspects is involved.

I know. Only 3 more . Also, I've already given into the fact that this show has spoiled me for the year. Doubt another new show will top this in quality in 2014.

I think there is supposed to be a new NCIs this fall. I'm sure that will be some groundbreaking* television.

*no offense to any NCIs fans

hopefully she shows up on all HBO/HBO produced shows. Game of Thrones always needs girls willing to do nudity.

Not as good as last week, but still pretty good.

I thought they did a good job with Maggie and Cohle. Her seducing him just so she could run back and tell Marty about it was a different spin to how it's usually done on TV.

After seeing the preview for next week, I'm wondering if someone's speculation about something is true:

obv spoilers

Spoiler:
someone pointed out, maybe Martin's daughter was involved with something regarding the cult/sex stuff after those pictures she drew. In the preview, Rust shows Martin a video, and I'm thinking it is of his daughter. would make sense.

"Nice hook Marty." Good episode tonight. Tuttle is just one creepy dude. Did they say he died from an OD a few years back? Also, got a kick out of Rust's taillight -- been busted for 10 years.

That was my speculation from last week and I agree, the preview seems to point in that direction.

Great episode again. Still tense despite the focus purely on 2002.

Re: True Detective -- "Haunted Houses" -- 2/23/14

I don't want this show to end dammit, way too good. I liked how we got the perspective on Rust and Marty from Maggie in this episode and I was a bit surprised at the way it was revealed that she seduced Rust. I didn't necessarily expect what happened to be what capped off the tension between Marty and Rust. Their fight was pretty good and I liked the ending showing Rust is still driving his same truck and hasn't bothered to fix the taillight. Seems like Tuttle is involved somehow but I still wonder if some of the people in the department know it as they seem pretty quick to dismiss anything that Rust tries to turn up on him. Also yes, Lilli Simmons is fantastic

I also liked that Maggie, knowing Marty's temper even told him to hit her, as she knew if he did, he would probably lose his job

Re: True Detective -- "Haunted Houses" -- 2/23/14

Rust and Maggie was pretty predictable I thought, but they did a good job with it, having her seduce and use Rust rather than an actual emotional affair, which would have been silly.

Something tells me Marty might not be over it though, what was with him loading up his revolver after Rust pulled him over to talk?

I agree this wasn't as good as the last two weeks, but that's only because it focused on the relationships more than the case - still great stuff.

Re: True Detective -- "Haunted Houses" -- 2/23/14

It felt a little out of character for Rust to actually do that; surprised me that he did. The only way it made sense for me is that they kept building how angry he was at Marty, so it was almost revenge for him too? Not sure. Still, best show on TV.
