speaking of Color, i was watching a little of that on one of the Showtime networks, assuming they took it from the blu transfer, is that how it looked when it was released or did someone royally fuck up?

I don't think the disc was messed up or anything; they just took what they had and released it.

Within the last three years Marty and his editor did a complete retweaking of TCOM for HD. They were never happy with the color palate of the finished film. Back when first released in order to maintain the flesh tones they wanted they had to tweak the color so that the pool tables all looked more blue than green. They were able to use digital tools to make the tables appear the proper green color.
Despite all this work being done, Disney used some old shitty transfer when making the blu ray. Idiotic.

Yeah I caught a bit of this when channel flipping. It did not look that bad so I wonder if that was the remaster.
