Looks pretty intriguing. Can also be used to play video games.

Avegant has created a “virtual retina display” headset called the Glyph. Glyph is the size of standard studio headphones and the headband has display screens that project imagery directly to the retina so that it feels like you are looking at an 80-inch high definition TV. Glyph is noise-canceling and uses a unique flip-down factor to bring the personal theater in front of the user’s eyes.
Glyph uses a low power LED to bring the imagery in front of the user. The imagery passes through a first set of optics, gets reflected off of a micromirror array with two million mirrors and then the imagery is shaped for the eye. From there, the stream is projected through a second set of optics directly onto the retina.
What if you wear glasses? The diopters in the Glyph can be adjusted to a wide variety of prescriptions (+2 to -6) and pupillary distances so that you will not need your glasses. However, astigmatic eyesight is not supported in this model.
The Glyph has an HDMI input so that it can display anything from your content library such as movies that you own or Netflix movies that are streamed through your mobile device. You can also use Glyph for gaming with a PlayStation or Xbox console. Glyph has a battery life of about three hours. If you are interested in buying Glyph, the price has been set at $499.

Seems kind of high, then I notice that Bose noise cancellation head phones cost over 200.00 doesn't it?

That's all we need. If we don't already have enough people walking the streets in Manhattan glued to their phones and walking into people and out in front of moving traffic, now we'll have people watching movies while they're walking, while they're driving, while they're supposed to wait on customers, etc., etc., etc.
You can look at this thing and instantly see it blinds the wearer to anything but what they're watching.
