Thought I'd post this and get peoples thoughts and reactions about it.
A buddy of mine (Rob McLellan) from school back in England and then throughout college put together and directed this short Sci-Fi movie after getting some funding and sponsers.
It has gained quite the following and has been received very well back in the UK and parts of Europe. So much so that late last year a few studios invited him over to pitch the short into a feature length movie. Well, he found out that MGM are going to go ahead and proceed and produce the movie and get into production ASAP. That's about all hes been able to say about it so far, but to say he's thrilled is an understatement.
It's scheduled to be shown at some Short Movie festivals including a couple here - one of which I know will be in Seattle.
Hope you guys enjoy

Cool, good for him. Fun movie, well done.
For me, personally, I'm pretty much done with the women-tortured-for-my-entertainment genre, so I would hope there would be much more to a feature than that aspect.

All kidding aside, I'm not a fan of torture porn (regardless of the victims and/or their gender). However, I wish your friend well, DVDMagic.

Re: Abe
appreciate the feedback.
I know he's going to go the "torture-porn" route, but probably more along the lines of a not-to-distant future where robots are more prominent in our everyday lives and become more human like.
Right now he's touring with the movie and hitting the short film circuit.
