Announced at the TCA today, next season will be the last. Yost and Olyphant made the decision.

I'm ok with it. Would rather the shows that are great, go out while they're great.

I like the decision. It sounded like the network wanted seven seasons and Yost / Olyphant only wanted to tell a six season story. I like when people actually have the courage not to artificially extend something (I'm looking at you Kurt Sutter).

From the Yost interview somebody put in the last thread, it sounds like Olyphant is amazingly serious about this project and doing it right. I have a gigantic amount of respect for him and almost want Shawn Ryan, Olyphant, and Bryan Cranston would all go sit in a room for a month, come up with the most awesome show idea they could come up with, and give it to all of us. Bonus points if it is another corner of the Elmore Leonard universe.

Didn't expect to see loretta again, it's amusing how she works raylan. Boyd looks a little pissed his crew got rolled, I expect that the hooker with the pop rocks we saw looking for dope had some part in it. Curious who she works for, perhaps that cop that seems to have a hardon for seeing him go down.

That hooker is Johnny's girlfriend from last season. So I presume she's working for Johnny, who has many reasons for wanting to rip off Boyd.

^ Yeah I assume she was in on it.

This show does great calling back to old characters from time to time. Also nice to see Hot Rod again.

I wonder if Raylan is going to get into a bit of trouble over the shooting that ended last season with Art digging a bit, or if that is just the writers getting the little details right and wrapping that up.

That was certainly a dense little episode. How many plot threads were going on last night? I lost count at seven.

It was great seeing Avon Barksdale in action again, love when a Wire actor shows up unexpected. And Steve Harris!

Nice to see Avon get some work. I love how cool Raylan always is even when he knows the odds are stacked against him.

I was dying when the kid called Raylan a total dick and he was like "oh....well...have a good one"
