Shout! to release Season 8 of the Practice. Seasons 2 -7 still MIA
I've never seen this before. Shout is skipping seasons 2 - 7 and going straight to the last season when James Spader joins the cast. Loved the Practice so I'll definately pick it up when it's released. I would love for Shout to do the same with Picket Fences (another DEK show) and release the remaining unreleased seasons. Well 2 and 3 really as season 4 was a completely different show to me.

They did this with Law And Order when Jerry Orbach died. At that time, they had only released the first season. Then, they skipped to the third season, which is the season when Jerry Orbach started on the show. Of course, they did go back and release the rest of the show eventually.

The Simpsons jumped from I think 12 to season 20, and has since been filling in the gap.

That was only because it was the show's twentieth anniversary though. They released seasons one through twelve prior to putting that one out but just released Season Twenty to coincide with the anniversary. I do find it sort of pathetic though that it's taken Fox this long to get as far as they have with the show on DVD/Blu-ray for as long as they've been doing releases. For a while they had been releasing two a year but have gone back to only one recently again.
